SWEEPING OCEANVIEW AT THE FABULOUS KAANAPALI SHORES RESORT!

There were three of us, two adults and a one year old and it was perfect! The grounds were beautiful and the staff was extremely nice. The bell man even offered us a high chair for our stay. The grocery store is right across the street, which is handy in case you need any spur of the moment items, which we did with our little one. The owners had everything you need for a beach day including boogie boards, toys for the kids and the much used travel ice chest, that we used to take snacks and drinks at the beach. We choose to drive to different beaches and would highly recommend Kapalua Bay. Perfect for anyone. My son had a close up encounter with three turtles at this beach. We will definitely consider staying here in the future.

Lovely condo, very clean, attractively decorated, plently of extra's like Salt and pepper and spices for cooking. Boogie boards and cooler available for use. Nice ocean view above the trees and condo at the side of this one. Plenty of towels and a hairdryer so you don't have to take one, also shampoo and conditioner. We ate one night @ the place on site for dinner and found the menue to be large variety and delicious. We enjoyed a Resturant @ Whalers Village close by called Hula (something). We had been to Maui three times before and we had already done all of the available activities, but we did drive up to overlook the Volcano which we enjoyed. Cold up there so take a jacket and go early for the best views of the Island. We would recomend this for families who want a nice place, but not outrageously expensive.

I liked the room. They had portable chairs, snorkel equipment available. The kitchen was well equipped. Loved the keyless entry, no card to carry. There was a nice view.

There was good internet access everywhere and it was free. TV had Primetime system so could catch up on TV programs at a later date.

Things I didn't like: there is a daily fee for parking. However, the parking was quite convenient and I felt the car was parking was very secure. It looked like there was fee for the gym as well. The business center charged $5.00 and $0.50 per page price for printing, so there was a fee if you wanted to print your boarding passes before leaving, but it was only necessary, if you needed to print something, since there was free wireless everywhere.

There was a nice store in the facility that came in handy. They had almost everything we needed.

There was no sewer smell. I mention this because at the Honua-Kai a few doors down you can often smell the sewage plant across the way.
