The house is surrounded by water on three sides. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the water while relaxing on the swing in the screened-in front porch. A second story open deck overlooks the southern view of pointed spruce covered islands and expansive glistening water. When I arrived at the Little Dipper Cottage, I was amazed at the pure beauty of the craftsmanship. The photos of the cottage do not do it justice, it's truly the most amazing place. I actually got married in the front yard of this cottage. It was everything I had ever dreamed my wedding could be. I felt like the decor was straight out of a Martha Stewart guide book.

My family rented both homes for our daughters wedding. Both houses were beautiful and we had the best time. My daughters wedding had a great setting and the week was very relaxing and enjoyable. Looking forward to returning some day.

The Little Dipper Cottage is a slice of Heaven!

My family just got back from a one-week vacation. It was the first time we've been to Maine, and we can't wait to get back! There were six of us with 4 children ranging in ages from 2 - 18. The house was perfect for us and just so beautiful and welcoming. The decor is so appealing and the outside setting for the home is perfect. We rented kayaks and went out many days and kayaked with seals! Ocean Point was beautiful; we even took a day trip to Acadia National Park. We ate at the house almost every night - the kitchen is fully equipped. we highly recommend the Little Dipper Cottage; George and Kathy -- thank you for letting us create incredible memories!

Little Dipper Cottage filled with family memories

Ten members of my family ranging in age from 2 to 87 rented Little Dipper Cottage in August, 2007. The warm and friendly correspondence and pictures from George and Kathy assured us we made the right decision to rent Little Dipper for our family's Maine vacation.
The cottage was so much more than we could have hoped for. It was spotless from top to bottom, had plenty of comfortable seating, a well stocked kitchen including a lobster pot for our Maine lobster dinner, but best of all was the large screened in porch. The view from any room in the house was great but from the porch it was spectacular. The kids played in the yard while we relaxed on the porch swing and enjoyed a piece of heaven. We visited Booth Bay Harbor's restaurants and shops daily. We enjoyed the Puffin tour cruise and our time spent at the Railroad Village with the kids.I would highly recommend Little Dipper Cottage to anyone planning on making family memories!
