Our weather is normally temperate with highs forcast into the 70's until October! Leave the crowds behind while you enjoy a vacation in a rustic, but luxurious cabin. Eagles Peak is situated atop a small hill that affords a great view of the lake! This log home offers three bedrooms and is equipped with everything you need to make your stay at Watauga Lake relaxing and memorable. Just bring that special someone to relax and create some wonderful new memories. The two main bedrooms each have a queen bed with comfortable linens and pillows for all. The third bedroom is equipped with a full bed and a single bed in a bunk style arrangement. Please let us know if you need more sleeping capacity? We can easily provide extra linens and pillows for air beds...

Keep in mind that we are owner operated and just above the shoreline of Watauga Lake-the most beautiful of all the TVA lakes in TN. We eliminate the middle manager to give our guests the best value, personal service, private lake access, and awesome lake views anywhere in our area! The proof is in our guest comments!

Spring and Summer Season: This log home has something for all seasons. Springtime is always a refreshing treat with brisk mornings and numerous waterfowl. Summer is jam packed with lakeside activities such as swimming and sightseeing. August and September are normally warm and sunny and a great time to enjoy Watauga Lake. Rent our pontoon and save a boat load of cash over what the commercial marinas charge! We have it waiting just for you at the boat slip below the cabin!

Autumn and Winter Season: Starting in October, the fall is beautiful with the bright red, yellow and orange leaves everywhere you look on the mountains. Don't forget the Blue Ridge Parkway is a great sightseeing trip. Maybe you prefer the cooler months later in the year? This vacation home has ample sun exposure, a warm gas fireplace and a steaming hot tub. Nestle up to the hearth by the fire and read that book you've been putting off. Winter doldrums will be banished when you retire to Eagles Peak after a long day of sightseeing or activities.

NASCAR! : For you NASCAR racing fans, the infamous Bristol Motor Speedway is less than an hour away in Bristol TN. Please have a look at the linked website we included at the bottom of the listing for all to do and see. We grew up in the local area and recently moved back to Elizabethton, TN after retiring. Don't accept cramped park unit 'cottages' or 'vacation property' managers who are out of state and cannot respond to your immediate needs. We have the best lot in this development if you want a beautiful view along with lake access! Ask for 'Eagles Peak', and let us handle all your vacation needs.

Golf: Red Tail Golf Course is only 30 minutes from the cabin and our guests seem to enjoy it greatly!

Amazing Time

We had a great time at Eagle’s Peak cabin. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere in a quiet neighborhood. The cabin has everything you need and more. Marc and Leann keep the property clean and well maintained. They made sure that our time there was great and it was great. The boat is great as well and well worth renting as you can tour around the beautiful lake. I would recommend this rental to anyone. This was a memorable vacation and a spot that we would go back and visit.
If you have never been in the area there are many different activities such as boating, swimming, and tourist attractions. Linelly falls was a great hike and well worth it once you saw the falls. In addition, Mast General store is a nice place to go and look around. Make sure to pick up some pamphlets and tourist information to see what is available in the area. Thanks Marc and Leann for offering your wonderful cabin for us to use.

Great Vacation

My wife and I really enjoyed the cabin. The view was great and the cabin was very clean and well stocked. All we needed was food. Marc was very attentive to all of our needs. I would recommend this cabin to all of my friends. A great place to get away from it all. Great hiking trails near by.

Great stay in July.

House was clean, neat, comfortable. Kitchen had all cookware imaginable. Baths were perfect. No problems. Used my Alltel internet phone for high speed internet access in family room - may not work for everyone but worked for me. Unless you are doing a lot of sightseeing we suggest the pontoon boat. It was a great hit. We caught a very large catfish at a fish attractor. The bridge area has a lot of fish. We hooked a large one trolling under the bridge but it broke the line. Thanks for a great stay.

great cabin

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for peace & quiet. I would also say that this is the cleanest home or cabin I have ever rented. The owners called to make sure everything was OK. If you do not have your own boat I would rent the pontoon as it is a little ways to any of the marinas. Also, no cell service which for us was great! Loved the look on my teenager's face when he realized he couldn't text! Good fishing right by the cabin where the river is. No big ones but lots of easy little ones for my kids to catch. My 4yo daughter caught 2 by herself with her Barbie fishing pole! Thanks Marc & Leann for a great vacation.

Perfect place for a getaway!

This cabin has it all! Everything you could possibly need and well kept and clean! The owners are very nice, helpful and informative. We recommend renting the pontoon if you don't have a boat so you can enjoy the whole lake. We stopped at the Captain's Table one of the days for dinner and got the steak, which was delicious. We had lots of luck fishing off the boat while we were here also. We went in the hot tub at night and it was so quiet and you could see so many stars! On the last day we went horseback riding at Dogwood Springs Ranch, very nice people who own it and great trails and horses, another fun thing to do! Such a relaxing and peaceful trip!
Owner's Response: Owners should be silent and allow the guests to do all the talking! That is our motto (although these were great guests)!
