Bristol Motor Speedway is just 11 minutes away. Winged Deer Park is across the street with Boone Lake only 2 minutes drive. centrally located to all Tri-citys attractions; just short 2-3 miles to interstate . Jonesborough (TN's oldest town) is easy drive of 10 minutes. ETSU and Kingsport offer many forms of sports and entertainment. We are located on a 47 acre private estate with only three homes. The property is heavily wooded with many deer, wild turkey, chipmunks, raccoons, birds and the like. It is truly 'Fit For A King' with the rich leather sofa and chair, fireplace and TV in the living room and stately dining room for 6. The kitchen is fully equipped with SS appliances and washer and dryer. The game room has a nice pool table and TV for your entertainment. The Master bedroom is furnished with a custom king bed and luxury bedding. A reading nook makes a great place to enjoy the fireplace or watch TV. A walk in tile shower makes the large bathroom a real treat.

The mountains in east Tennessee are beautiful all year round and with Boone Lake to enjoy also it's great. We are just a short drive to Watauga Lake and beautiful Roan Mountain. There so many festivals here. The Covered Bridge Festival, the Apple Festival, The Blue Plumb, Jonesborough days. Rhododendron Festival, Country Music Days. Nascar races, Spring Fest . There are many more. ETSU offers many sporting events each year we have boat shows and soccer tournaments. check in 3:00 and check out 11:00

  • The master bathroom is just beautiful. It has a spacious walk in tile shower and a separate sink area. Nice soft towels are furnished along with soap. The second bathroom has a tub/shower and is furnished with fluffy towels. This bathroom has a very European flair.

  • Bedrooms are spacious and fitted with king custom made beds. They both have TVs and dressing tables. the bedding is high quality and the mattresses are double pillow tops. Very comfortable. These are bed and breakfast quality rooms with TVs and the master has a fireplace. The master has tile bathroom with walk in shower and walk-in closet. Bedroom 2 has full bath accessed from the hall. It also has TV and dressing table.

Our vacation at Fit for a King was just awesome. My husband and I found our time there very restful and peaceful Even our son (age 15) and our daughter (age 12) loved staying at the cottage. It really felt like our home away from home. We hope to be able to come back again sometime.

A cozy home away from home

I do not have any negative things to say about our stay in Fit for a King. The owners touch on all the details and the place comes equipped within anything you could possibly need. The rooms are very quiet, the beds are super comfortable, and the views from the deck are beautiful. We can't wait to come back!

Definitely take some time to check out Ridgewood Barbecue. It is only 8 miles away from the cabin and some of the best barbecue we've had.

"Fit for a King" was an excellent cabin to stay in for vacation. It was a beautiful location and cabin. I would highly recommend everyone to stay. I know we will be going back!

This house is absolutely gorgeous. The decorating is like pictures from a Home magazine. Everything we needed was there, even a "Welcome Basket", that came in very handy as it contained things we had forgotten.
Although we were there for NASCAR racing, it is a great place to lay back and relax.
I would definetly stay there again!
