This apartment in the exclusive Condado Area is located in the Ashford Avenue next to Gucci, Cartier, Louis Vutton, Antonio Dominguez and other exclusive boutiques. Next to hotels and casinos. Beach is 3 minutes walking distance. The living room has a large sliding door that open onto the balcony, which overlooks the lagoon and the pool. The bedroom has a king size bed and the living room has two futon sofa which can be open into a double-sized bed. There is also a a 4-person dining set in the living room The apartment comes furnished with all linens, towels, kitchen equipment, Cable TV with HBO, DVD, wireless internet, air conditioner, washer/dryer. The building is very secure. The property is fully enclosed and gated.

Dirty and loud

I was very disappointed. Upon arriving to the apartment we walked in to dirty dishes, mold on the shower curtain, light bulbs burned out and a dirty kitchen table. Every morning you wake up at 6 am because of the car garage you're right next to. The car alarms are constantly going off and for some reason this is normal. If you want to live in a place equivalent to a dumpster and wake up every morning at 6 am because of car alarms and loud construction then stay at La Rada where everything is disgusting and loud.

La Rada, El Condado

Mi esposo y yo estuvimos hospedados en el apartamento en Febrero 2014. Pasamos unos días estupendos.

La ubicación del apartamento es inmejorable. Uno se siente en el centro de todo, y cerca de todo.

No tenemos como agradecer las atenciones de Lily, la fina cortesía y la flexibilidad que tuvo con nosotros.

Gracias a su generosidad pudimos aprovechar mucho mejor el tiempo y pudimos conectar cómodamente con nuestros vuelos, evitándonos las largas esperas en el Aeropuerto.

Adicionalmente nos facilitó un parqueo al lado del edificio, lo que nos permitió rentar un auto (en un rent car justo en frente del edificio), y pasear por toda la ciudad.

El apartamento interiormente tiene todo lo que se pueda necesitar. Buenos aires acondicionados tanto en la habitación como en la sala. Igualmente los electrodomésticos en la cocina.

Absolutamente todo estaba previsto, sabanas, almohadas, toallas, jabones, shampoo, etc.

La vista a la laguna es espectacular y como bonus extra está la piscina.

El edificio es antiguo, pero justo están haciendo algunas mejoras.

No vimos mosquitos, solo alguito de ruido tolerable del parqueo por lo que solo sugeriría se coloquen unas cortinas de tela gruesa con blackout.

Primero para aislar el posible ruido, pero segundo, y más importante,

para que sean fáciles de abrir y cerrar y permitan disfrutar desde la habitación de la espectacular vista a la laguna.

Staying at La Rada in El Condado

The location was excellent for going to the beach, shopping, and eating out. It also has a nearby Walgreens with a great grocery section and a Red Box for renting $1 dollar movies. However, the building needs alot of maintenance and does not smell good. When we arrived, my 12 year old thougt I was kidding about staying there.

First, you smell cat odor as you enter. A few steps down, you smell some coconut scent that appears to be sprayed in an attempt to cover the nasty smell coming from one of the apartments.

The apartment itself was clean and had all the necessary essentials but one of the 3 beach chairs was broken, one comforter was rough on the skin, and the mattress definitely needs replacing. It had no support; I felt as if I were being swallowed into a hole by the mattress. The air conditioning in the bedroom was not working and was not repaired during my stay nor was I even offered a discount for that inconvenience. Instead, I was offered 2 fans. There is a nice size pool but it gets dirty easily with the debris from the trees. It was cleaned twice during my 6 night stay.

If you can get past the hallway smell and the ugly appearance of the building, the apartment itself is comfortable but a good night sleep is important so the mattress should be repaired and the a/c repaired.

Great value, great view and location

My husband and I stayed for a week and would definitely return. It was a great value and a great location. We rented bikes and the first-floor location of the condo made it easy to bring the bikes in/out; we could store them inside the gate next to the condo. Overall, we felt most welcome and comfortable there. We found the place clean and comfortable. The view of the lagoon is wonderful; having a kitchen and washer/dryer makes it feel more like home than staying in a hotel. We spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony looking at the lagoon, or having coffee/breakfast at the table, with the balcony doors open and listening to the birds. The pool was an added bonus, and it was very clean.

The only negatives for us were the early trash removal next to the bedroom (but what the heck, you hear it and you either wake up if you're ready or go back to sleep!) and the mosquitos. However, we loved having the balcony doors open so that was the trade-off; next time we'll just come prepared with bug spray.

One other thing: We got "written up" by a security guard for using the gas grill. Not sure where we were supposed to grill (guess we should have moved it inside the kitchen or balcony, but that doesn't seem very safe).

All in all, it was a wonderful place and as I said, we would recommend it and return again! Thanks!

Condo Rental from 12/18/2010 - 01/05/2011

The Good:

1) Location was near restaurants /hotels.

2) Parking was next door and was included in the fee.

3) Issues that were brought to the attention of the owner were resolved (mostly).

The Bad:

1) Preventative maintenance needed:

a) Outside light was out when we arrived (late on the 18th) so getting through the gate and the front door was difficult in the dark, especially when you get the keys from the Parking attendant (not the owner) and no instruction as to which key went with which lock. Light fixed in 2 days.

b) Bathroom sink was stopped up and would not drain. Plumber called - Draino didn't resolve; plumber had to come back next day and use a "snake". Sink fixed in 3 days.

c) Shower handle completely loose and water temperature could not be maintained at a comfortable level. Handyman called to fix, but didn't know what to do; said he would send someone else.Two days later a plumber called (we were out eating lunch at the time, so more inconvenience to our time while worker came to fix items). He did attempt to fix the problem, but within two days it was back to being loose again. By this time, the owner had gone to Europe and was unreachable.

2) Noise. Metal dumpster in the parking garage was just outside the bedroom window and was emptied daily at about 6 AM.

3) Mosquitoes. No matter how hard we tried to keep them out, the condo filled up with them... they were getting in from one or more openings that could not be detected. Bathroom and kitchen had shuttered windows, but no screens; holes in the wall where the washer/dryer was another possibility. By the 2nd day I had over a dozen bites and had to buy insect repellent and flying insect spray and use liberally on a daily basis while in the condo.

4) Water drips from bathroom ceiling over the commode.

5) Floor cleanliness was a major issue. The first evening my wife walked barefoot in the condo for 10 minutes and her feet were black.

We purchase Swiffer wet mops and had to constantly use them.

6) Ceiling fan in LR does not work.

The Ugly:

1) Preventive maintenance to items listed above should have been done prior to rental so as not to intruded on our time.

2) Cleanliness was a major issue.

3) Kitchen old and small with little counter space.

3) Pillows are old - need replacement.

4) Condo shows better in the pictures than it really is - it's not a "luxury" property in any sense of the word.

5) Wouldn't recommend the property and wouldn't stay again!

Very nice place to say in Condado!

The apartment was clean, nicely decorated, well equipped with beach towels, bath towels, and kitchen utensils. The pool was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. My wife and I along with our 3 school aged daughters were very comfortable in the apartment and would gladly return for future trips to Puerto Rico. Lily was there to meet us as soon as we arrived and helped us to accomodate changed plans when we needed to stay more than we had originally planned. There was always parking at the attended garage next door and the building is a short walk from very nice swimming beaches in Condado.
