Condo, 3 Bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins), 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)

The 1920's Atkinson Boot Manufacturing building in gorgeous and quaint Ludington, Michigan has recently been renovated and is now the home of our luxury loft condo that boasts twelve-foot high ceilings, exposed concrete columns and steel I-beams.

What we love most however are the views! The building overlooks Lake Michigan and the loft has a full view of the Ludington SS Badger car ferry and car ferry harbor. You walk in the front door and are immediately captured by the view. One of our favorite things to do is watch the ferry load and unload from our living room picture window or out on the balcony while enjoying a beautiful home cooked meal.

There are three bedrooms and two full baths. The master suite has a comfy four poster queen bed. The second bedroom has a king bed, and the third bedroom has two twins that can be combined together to make another king bed. All of the beds offer luxurious linens, lots of pillows and both cool and warm comforters.

There is a modern, fully equipped kitchen with granite bar and a 32' HD LCD television with cable and a DVD library. We have tried to equip our home away from home so that all we have to do is pack a bag and hit the road!

The building has a private heated indoor pool and hot tub just down the hall as well as a roof top deck. We also have one indoor garage parking space.

Whether you come to northern Michigan to experience the outdoors at Ludington State Park or one of the many exceptional golf courses or to take advantage of the world class beaches and fishing on Lake Michigan, you will love making the SS Badger Harbor View Condo in Ludington the perfect summer getaway for your family.

Ludington, Michigan is located just 1.5 hours north of Grand Rapids, Michigan and a nice 4 hour drive from Detroit or Chicago. You can cruise Lake Michigan on the SS Badger car ferry from Manitowoc, Wisconsin straight to Ludington. The condo is walking distance from the ferry and it's less than a block to the restaurants and shops downtown. It's just a short walk to one of the best beaches in North America so you don't even need a car. Across the street is the Harbor View Marina where you can take a charter fishing trip or rent slips by the night for your boat. From Ludington it is 45 minutes North to Manistee casino and 45 minutes South to Michigan Adventure Theme Park. Crystal Mountain, the '#1 Ski Resort in the Midwest,' is only 66 miles away and has great golfing as well.

We had a great time at the Carlson Condo in Ludington! The View of the Harbor and the Badger Ferry Boat out the window is fantastic! The beds are the most comfortable ever, and the condo is so beautiful and full of everything you would ever need. It also has a very nice pool/hot tub and is walking distance to everything in town. We really enjoyed our lunch at Chef John's Bakery and Cafe where everything is homemade (don't miss that!) and PM Steamers Restaurant on the water was excellent too. There is a great Brewery in town called Jamesport Brewing Company too. Scotty's on the outside of town was a good spot to eat too. Of course you can't beat the white sand beaches of the Ludington area! It is a great place to Vacation.

Wonderful, modern condo within walking distance to downtown!

We stayed here for a week with our three small children and it was absolutely wonderful. The condo is wonderfully decorated and very modern. There is plenty of living space, a great balcony, and a wonderful view of the Badger. The indoor pool is great for rainy days and you can walk to downtown Ludington. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful place to stay in Ludington

The condo was beautiful, clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The indoor pool and hot tub were visited almost daily. Comfortable beds made sleeping easy. The kitchen was fun to use with plenty of dishware, utensils and cookware and we never bothered eating out. The garage space had room for our car and some bicycles.
The location was great, too. Downtown stores were within walking distance. We enjoyed the SS Badger, especially from the balcony, and being a few blocks from the beautiful beach was perfect. The area turned out to be more bicycle-friendly than we expected and we were able to bicycle north to the state park and south to Historic White Pine Village with no problems.
