Smith Beach is a small & private beach area, a family community, on the Chesapeake Bay with private boat ramp & sandy beach. Smith Beach is on Virginia's pristine Eastern Shore, a penisula approximately 10 miles wide between the Chesapeake Bay & the Atlantic, & 70 miles long. Smith Beach is 17 miles north of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, which connects the mainland, VA BCH area with the Eastern Shore. Smith Beach is 10 miles north of historic Cape Charles, VA. Forty minutes north of Smith Beach is the historic, quaint town of Onancock, VA, with it's many fine dining & casual restaurants, art galleries, & historic Town Wharf. Chincoteague Island, home of the famous Chincoteague Ponies, is just over an hour north of Smith Beach & makes a delightful day trip, as does Kiptopeke State Park to the south or the Barrier Islands Museum or the Railroad Museum in Parksley. Come relax, ENJOY!!
