Duck Creek Village Vacation Rental cabin

We have rented properties for our vacations in the past, this is our 5th rental. I'd like to say at the start that I do understand this is a cabin. However, we found this particular property to be the least positive experience we have had when renting for our vacation. We felt the cabin was not clean and actually got a mouth full of cob webs when walking into the cabin for the first time. There was dust everywhere. As well, the appliances were not clean (streaks down the outside of the refrigerator door and rotten food inside it). My 12 year old daughter actually took the vacuum cleaner upstair to the bedroom to vacuum before she went to bed the first night. There were candy wrappers, kleenexes and etc in that bedroom. We cleaned the downstairs shower out too prior to use. There were several light bulbs not functioning.

It is a cute little village, with the main road running right in front of the property. There is also an Inn immediately to the East that has a flashing light (all night long) outside the front window.

We did contact the owners and a couple of the bulbs were changed but that is it. It was a little disappointing, especially in comparison to the other properties that we have successfully rented.
