Charming, comfortable home in Rockport's historic district, 2,000 square ft living space. 4 BRs: two on 1st fl (1 queen, 1 twin), and two on 2nd fl (1 queen, 2 twins). The house is conveniently located less than a 5-minute walk to Front Beach (0.2 miles) & train station (0.2 miles, and you will be in Boston in an hour). Downtown shops & restaurants are a 5-minute walk down the street (0.35 miles to Bearskin Neck). The home interior is beautifully & freshly renovated, and fully & tastefully furnished. The bedrooms have new mattresses & comfy bedding. The sunny, eat-in kitchen is fully equipped and has a bay window, cherry wood cabinets & granite counter top/breakfast bar, brand-new stainless appliances & in-sink water filter. The 2 full bathrooms are all new, with new fixtures & tile. Plenty of light and refinished hardwood floors throughout. Relax on the deck, with outdoor furniture & a gas BBQ grill. Washer/Dryer on 1st floor. 5 a/c units in BRs & living room. Driveway with parking.

It is an artist community, where you can stroll and browse through unique shops & galleries. Stop in at one of many restaurants for fresh lobsters & seafood, or pick up your own fresh local lobsters, clams, fish. Enjoy whale watching, sailing, sunset boat cruising, deep sea fishing & kayak tours. Visit the Rockport Art Association to see exhibits of local artists, enjoy the Rockport Chamber Music Festival in June, movies at the in-town Little Art Cinema during the summer months. Walk on trails in Halibut State Park with sweeping ocean views and beautiful quarries. Tour the Cape Ann Historical Museum and Hammond Castle in Gloucester. Take scenic drives in Essex, Ipswich & Newburyport, and go antiquing along the way. Visit the Salem Witch Museum & Peabody Essex Museum within 35 min drive. Hop on the train for a day trip to Boston- 1 hour away

Great house, great location!

I rented this house for 3 weeks in August 2009 and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect, a quick walk (5 minutes) to both town and beach. The house was clean, comfortable and well maintained & equipped. There was plenty of room for family and visitors. The owners are wonderful people to deal with. It is a great house for families with children. Although there is plenty of parking, this house is also ideal for people without a car since it is located just a short (5 minute) walk from the commuter rail, grocery store, town and beach.

My family and I spent a wonderful 2 weeks in Rockport. The house is delightful; very comfortable and well equipped. It truly is only a 3 minute walk to a great beach or to the ridiculously cute "downtown" of Rockport. You won't be disappointed.

We had a great time staying here. We've stayed at other houses in Rockport before but not as nice as this one. It was really homey and equipped with just about everything you need. It was spotless and well-maintained. We enjoyed staying in such a pretty home that was a short/easy walk to the beach and Bearskin Neck. Looking forward to returning.
