Great location on the beach

We've stayed at this particular condo a few times now. Our expectations for any rental unit is that it be clean, comfortable, quiet when normal people are sleeping, and convenient to the things we like to do. This unit meets our expectations beautifully.
In short, here's why we keep renting this unit: 1) It's super convenient to the boardwalk, which is a fun place to shop and people-watch. 2) Once you learn the back routes, it's fast and easy to get to the grocery store and restaurants. 3) The beach at this location is wide and level, which if you have any experience with Carolina and Kure beaches, you know why I'm pointing that out.
We like the convenience of staying at beachfront property, but since the condo faces the street, we don't have to pay the ocean-side premium. The change of scenery is great, and hey, if you want to stare at the ocean all day AND all night, just park yourself on your beach chair. Some nights you can hear live music while you are sitting on the balcony, so you get to drink beer that doesn't cost as much and skip the cover charge!
The condo is squeaky clean and has as much cooking paraphernalia as I expect at the beach. I cook at home; when I come to the beach, I expect hubby to take me out. The essentials like a coffe maker, toaster, and a big pot to boil spaghetti are all there. Personally, I never expect sharp knives anywhere but in my own kitchen, simply because a lot of folks don't know how to take care of them so that they stay sharp. There's plenty of silverware, cups and plates and the only down side is that they have to be hand washed since the kitchen isn't large enough to accommodate a dishwasher. BTW - if you like to make frozen drinks, bring your own blender.
The AC does make some noise, but no more so than the unit in any 1 bedroom apartment I rented in my single days. At least it keeps the apartment at a consistent temperature, which wasn't always the case with other beach properties we've rented. It also has free wi-fi which is important even for people familiar with Carolina Beach, since restaurants come and go quickly on Pleasure Island.
