PASS-A-GRILLE'S WATERFRONT CHARMER, KEY WEST STYLE BUNGALOW

St Pete Beach Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Delightful renovated cottage 3bedroom/2 bath + large cozy loft

Relax and get lost in yourself by lounging in the hammock on the front deck of this whimsical Key West style waterfront bungalow, situated in the heart of Pass-a-grille's historic district.

The comfortable cottage and cozy loft has everything you could possibly need for your vacation. Just bring a toothbrush!

NOTE: We've done it again! Look for our 'Sunset Charmer' and Mini Sunset Charmer coming in the fall of 2014! We are making it every bit as wonderful as the 'Waterfront Charmer'. More to come.

Pass-a-grille is a charming Florida Community of days past. We are perfectly located in the heart of Pass-a-grille, right next to 8th Ave. which is the 'hub' of this quiet spot.

We take great care to make sure you have all the comforts needed to make a vacation a memorable experience. We're fortunate enough to have acquired many repeat guests, we're starting to feel like a huge extended family!

Continually being updated, the cottage has 2 decks - one that looks at Boca Ciega Bay and a second intimate, secluded, covered porch between home and the garage (loft). A privacy fence surrounds the home. A red aluminum roof makes the cottage quickly identifiable! Original wood floors, a totally remodeled and updated kitchen, romantic fireplace, ceiling fans, central air, cabana striped awnings, bright tropical artwork and furnishings complete the charm of old Florida living with contemporary amenities. This is our personal guest house for our friends and family when they come visit, so we make sure it never starts looking 'tired'.

Our improvement for 2012 was a complete kitchen remodel. The 2013 improvement was adding Hardie Board siding and a color change! Our 2014

project is adding another old 2/2 Pass-a-grille bungalow and 1bdr apartment to the

business. We're havin some fun now!!

Because we are one of the original Pass-a-grille Cottages we have a bit of a rambling, add-on, footprint. The cottage sleeps 5, 1 queen, 1 full, 1 twin. It is 2 bdroom/2 bath and a small Florida room, with 1 twin bed, which can be closed off from the rest of the cottage. Additionally, the loft sleeps 4. It is an upstairs/downstairs with kitchenette configuration. 2 twins on top level, 1 full bed on bottom floor.

Tom and I love to travel, our preferred way to lodge is at VRBO properties. We still like B &B's, Inns and nice hotels! For some reason it always seems like we land on an island.

We have 2 big labs that we adore.

Empty nesters with 4 adult children living from NYC to LA. AND 3 grandchildren who we can't get enough of!!

Tom is considering retirement and I just love a new project!

Patricia Black purchased this cottage in 2001

Pass-a-grille is a step back in time, hidden in a bustling area. It is a true old school neighborhood.

So incredibly close to the beach! We can watch the happenings at the Merry Pier across the street, watch the dolphin, birds and fishermen from our lifeguard chairs on the front deck. Pass-a-grille is the greatest place to walk your dogs or just to take a walk. After the beach gets boring the sights along the sidewalk are entertaining; old homes, renovated homes and new ones. We are right next to 8th Ave, the historic street, with fun beachy shopping, not the typical tourist stuff. Action, but not too much. Nice place to relax and slow the pace. When you want action, go north of the Don Cesar Hotel and the action begins!!

Fantastic vacation rental!

  • 5 of 5
We just finished a one week stay in the Waterfront Charmer and our kids said it was the "best vacation ever!" Seriously, the pictures do not do it justice. This is a beautiful cottage in one of my favorite locations - Pass-a-Grille is such a gem! The cottage was actually more spacious than I had envisioned. There were six of us - my husband and I, plus our four sons aged 11 - 21. Everyone had their own beds and we could have even comfortably brought another person or two with us. The kids thought the loft in the garage was awesome. The house was very tastefully decorated, very clean, top notch supplies, and the location cannot be beat. The owners have thought of everything! Umbrellas, beach chairs, a great rolling cooler, beach wagons, sand toys, noodles and rafts were all available in the garage for our use. Our kids loved riding the bikes in the garage to explore Pass-a-Grille. We literally rode the bikes every single night. The marina was just across the street and the kids had a great time fishing there in the evenings. During the day, the beach was a very short walk away and we had fun swimming, catching some sun, and seeing some great wildlife including dolphins and rays. Great restaurants (and an ice cream shop!) nearby. We enjoyed coffee on the big front deck every morning to watch the sun come up. The kitchen was very well stocked with plates, cooking utensils...anything you could need, it was there. The owners were so easy to work with and it's obvious they take a lot of pride in this property - it's not just your average rental. All in all, an absolutely wonderful vacation and we will definitely be back next year!

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!!

The pictures do not do this adorable house justice!! The house is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable - in addition, the owner has gone to great lengths to think of everything you might need. The house is already stocked with spices, condiments, shampoo, soap, detergent, paper products - if you need it, it is already there! Which leaves you to buy just the big grocery items your family will use then just re-supply the small stuff. Total money saver!! There are beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, buckets - everything you would need for the beach! The Beach is gorgeous, just one block away with a wonderful adult & kid snack bar, and restrooms. Right across the street is the intercoastal waterway and marina - wake up to beautiful sunrises over the water. Like to fish? Drop the line in across the street and get your bait from the marina or go down to the 1st street jetty. My kids caught 3 trout and 2 flounder - they were big enough for dinner! Like shelling? Take the shuttle from the marina to Shell Key and enjoy a quiet day on a nature reserve island where we found real shells and sand dollars in crystal clear water. Right next door is a fantastic breakfast/lunch place with incredible food and prices. The front of the house is beautifully landscaped and we enjoyed the hammock and oversized chairs. We are a family of 5 and the house could have easily and comfortably accommodated 3 more people. Feel so blessed to have been in such a wonderful spot!!

A beautiful house that is so comfortable and welcoming. Everything in this house is the best- no junk here. You truly have everything you need. The huge front deck is amazing and we enjoyed meals, cocktails, and coffee out there, just watching the boats on Boca Ciega bay and enjoying the ever present breeze. I could truly leave everything I own and just stay in this cottage forever. An amazing and relaxing vacation hide a way.

What a great little beach house! I didn't want to leave. Beach just a short walk, waterfront view from the front porch---great place for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails! Cute and beachy decorations; wonderful setting---old Pass-a-Beach is a "Keys-style" get-a-way. GrilleEven though it is off the beaten path, our teenagers loved it too!
