Overview

St Pete Beach Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Delightful renovated cottage 3 bedroom /2 bath + large cozy loft

Relax and get lost in yourself by lounging in the hammock on the front deck of this whimsical Key West style waterfront bungalow, situated in the heart of Pass-a-grille's historic district.

The comfortable cottage and cozy loft has everything you could possibly need for your vacation. Just bring a toothbrush!

NOTE: We've done it again! Look for our 'Sunset Charmer' and Mini Sunset Charmer coming in the fall of 2014! We are making it every bit as wonderful as the 'Waterfront Charmer'. More to come.

Pass-a-grille is a charming Florida Community of days past. We are perfectly located in the heart of Pass-a-grille, right next to 8th Ave. which is the 'hub' of this quiet spot.

We take great care to make sure you have all the comforts needed to make a vacation a memorable experience. We're fortunate enough to have acquired many repeat guests, we're starting to feel like a huge extended family!

Continually being updated, the cottage has 2 decks - one that looks at Boca Ciega Bay and a second intimate, secluded, covered porch between home and the garage (loft). A privacy fence surrounds the home. A red aluminum roof makes the cottage quickly identifiable! Original wood floors, a totally remodeled and updated kitchen, romantic fireplace, ceiling fans, central air, cabana striped awnings, bright tropical artwork and furnishings complete the charm of old Florida living with contemporary amenities. This is our personal guest house for our friends and family when they come visit, so we make sure it never starts looking 'tired'.

Our improvement for 2012 was a complete kitchen remodel. The 2013 improvement was adding Hardie Board siding and a color change! Our 2014/15 project is adding Pass-a-Grille's Sunset Charmer 3bdr /2ba and Pass-a-grille's Mini Charmer 1bdr /1ba to the mix.

Because we are one of the original Pass-a-grille Cottages we have a bit of a rambling, add-on, footprint. The cottage sleeps 5, 1 queen, 1 full, 1 twin. It is 2 bdroom/2 bath and a small Florida room, with 1 twin bed, which can be closed off from the rest of the cottage. Additionally, the loft sleeps 4. It is an upstairs/downstairs with kitchenette configuration. 2 twins on top level, 1 full bed on bottom floor.

About Patricia Black (Pat)

Tom and I love to travel, our preferred way to lodge is at VRBO properties. We still like B &B's, Inns and fancy hotels! For some reason it always seems like we land on an island. We have 2 big labs that we adore.

Empty nesters with 4 adult children living from NYC to LA. AND 3 grandchildren who we can't get enough of!!

Tom is considering retirement and I just love a new project!

Patricia Black (Pat) purchased this cottage in 2001

Why Patricia Black (Pat) chose St Pete Beach

Pass-a-grille is a step back in time, hidden in a bustling area. It is a true old school neighborhood. The beaches are pristine.

What makes this cottage unique

So incredibly close to the beach! We can watch the happenings at the Merry Pier across the street, watch the pelicans groom themselves on the old pilings, watch dolphin, birds and fishermen from our lifeguard chairs on the front deck. Pass-a-grille is the greatest place to walk your dogs or just to take a walk. After the beach gets boring the sights along the sidewalk are entertaining; old homes, renovated homes and new ones. We are right next to 8th Ave, the historic street, with fun beachy shopping, not the typical tourist stuff. Action, but not too much. Nice place to relax and slow the pace. When you want action, go north of the Loew's Don CeSar Hotel and the action begins!!

Beats the Don Caesar

  • 5 of 5

On our first trip to Pass-a-Grille, we stayed at the Don Caesar Hotel and thought it was wonderful, but this was better. The house has tons of charm with its bright beach décor, comfortable beds and chairs, all the necessities a person could ask for in a rental as well as many extras just to make the stay even better--chilled wine waiting, fresh fruit, and other niceties. It's convenient to everything, very quiet at night since the restaurant next door is closed after lunch, and it was just the perfect place to relax, walk, sight see, sleep and read, and let the rest of the world go by. We'll go back for sure. And, yes our little Maltese highly recommends it as well. Thanks for a wonderful week at PAG for all of us.

Waterfront Charmer is truly charming!

  • 5 of 5

This is hands down the best place to stay in PAG. The owners have literally thought of any and everything you would need in a rental property at their little beach side oasis. Charming, cozy and comfortable and a perfect location to access the beach or any local attractions. The marina at Merry Pier was the perfect place to pick up fresh fish and amazing smoked fish dip. YUM! We LOVE the Waterfront Charmer. Thank you!

Perfection! Simply perfection. My family was on our family vacation and making wonderful memories. The Charmer was the most wonderful setting in which to enjoy these precious times. I have been vacationing in Florida, yearly, for fifty years and this home is by far my (our) favorite. It is charming, from the outdoor living space to the original black and white tiles on the bathroom floor. Nothing, and I mean nothing was omitted from the home. The owner has a flair! The decor is ..... lets say charming! It was inviting, cheerful, and cozy. We truly appreciated this home and will be returning for sure. Thank-you for your hospitality.

Best home in Pass A Grille / St Pete Beach!!

  • 5 of 5

This home is wonderful and the owner left nothing to be desired. My family and I frequent St Pete Beach/Pass A Grill about 2-3 times and year and stay at different places almost every time. However, this will no longer be the case. We have fallen in love with this home, it's location, it's cleanliness and will continue to stay at this wonderful Bungalow. The home was amazingly clean and renovated while still keeping with it's original charm. There were so many extras provided (chairs, towels, laundry, coolers, grill, umbrella, beach cart, etc.) and even a awesome set of Cutco knives. This took the place of our #1 best place to stay in St Pete Beach. We will absolutely be back!!!

A Fabulous Holiday Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

We have just had a fabulous holiday in Florida (late August 2014) and the best part was staying at the Waterfront Charmer. Pat the owner is delightful and the house has everything you want. It’s in a great location, quirky, peaceful, all amenities included and if nothing else sitting on comfy high chairs on the bay side porch watching the world go by whilst having a “tipple” is one of life’s pleasures. The nearby pier and bay side front kept us entertained with fishing and the fabulous beach was a very short walk away. Lots of nice places to eat in easy walking distance. My teenage daughter loved having her own space in the garage attic. I would recommend this place to everyone. Cheers Pat!
