About J. Andrew Keller
Andy is an architect, and Gene is a Finance Manager for Proctor & Gamble. We live in Cincinnati and dream about getting for Fort Lauderdale as often as we can!!
J. Andrew Keller purchased this house in 2004
Why J. Andrew Keller chose Fort Lauderdale
We love how the neighborhood is so centrally located. Everything in Fort Lauderdale is within a 15-minute drive, it seems. Wilton Manors is a 5-minute drive away. Dozens of shops and restaurants are a 5-block walk away. We are addicted to Zona Fresca, a taco shop that is amazing and at the end of the street. There's always some ingredient we missed at the supermarket, so I'm always being sent down to Fresh Market at the end of the street - happily this is an easy walk. We rent the house as much as we can, but we also use it ourselves as often as we can make it work. It's relaxing and wonderful.
What makes this house unique
We purchased this property because it's, quite simply, special. The neighborhood is walkable and full of warm people, but when we're in the house, it's like you're in your own private resort. The public spaces all focus on the back yard, and the entire back of the house is windows. Happily, this also faces north, so we get a fabulous view to the back yard without ever dealing with glare from the sun. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, which is a wonderful extra level of privacy when we've invited another couple to join us on vacation. Finally, because we use the house ourselves, we like to make sure everything's there that we would possibly want when we're down there, so you get to benefit from our making sure the house is good enough for us!
We have just completed renovation (2014, spring) of both bathrooms, so please take a look at the photos. I tried to use the 'Panorama' feature on my phone, so some of the edges look weird, so please know that's my phone, not the actual edge of the counter doing that!!
