The place is beautiful and perfect for a quiet vacation. Not recommended for groups/reunions/parties. Only families should apply. When in groups, could lead to many issues and inconviniences throughout.Read contract carefully and be sure to be clear from the begining what your stay will consist of. Even though I did, it wasn't much help but still, you should always inform owner who will be responsible, who will be staying, etc. Environment very beautiful, quiet and clean. But keep in mind that this place is a RESIDENCE! Other residents are very sensitive to noise also due to the building structure. DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE A GROUP!!!
My review is poor because before my stay, during my stay and after my stay it was nothing but a lot of stress. I feel that the owner is very impulsive on decisions. I will never stay at this place again. With that said, keep in mind that I do know the place IS beautiful and best for small families/couples.
Owner's Response: We are very sad a group did not enjoy a stay with us. We try hard to be hospitable, friendly and open, and nearly 100 groups, families, and couples have booked with us. Our web site and contract say the property is “in a quiet residential neighborhood” and we seek guests who “are respectful of neighbors”. This is not a Spring Break party house and in a condo tower like this there are neighbors.
Our contract says if 7 people book, only 7 can be in the apartment. We are very open about this. The guard identified 9 inside and we still don’t know how many total people were coming to this party of 20-25 year olds. The security guard caught people drunk and urinating on the roof deck, leaving piles of cigarette butts and party trash on the roof, they ignored several guard requests to quiet down, and noise complaints were made at 2am by neighbors several floors below the roof deck.
The person who booked had bad apples in her group and this caused her stress. We also were stressed by a call from the condo administrator at 9am the next morning, our first call ever from him in years of being there.
We have a beautiful apartment, pool and beach area and we use it ourselves to socialize with friends. We find the neighbors friendly, reasonable and tolerant. Many groups of responsible adults have come, have their wine, cocktails, socializing, and music, and still respect the neighbors.
Honestly we wanted this group to leave the apartment. It’s a big risk to have a large group of known party people in our apartment if we're not sure they can control themselves. They begged us to stay, promised no more than 7 persons inside, made other promises and so we agreed. There we no other incidents and they left the apartment immaculate. We returned their security deposit and thought we were fair. Then they bashed us with the 1/5 review and emailed us that they would remove their review if we gave them a full refund for their entire stay, which we're not doing, so we'll live with this review.
Sorry this didn’t work out better for them but we don’t think the stress was caused by us. All our other reviews are 5 out of 5.
Groups are welcome, we've had many. But please, only groups that can have fun without ruining it for everyone else.
