This has to be one of the best locations in Paris! (check it out on Google) and it is a "price performer" for sure! Walk to all the sights - or take short metro ride. We came mid March to visit our son and his wife who live just around the corner from the apt!(they have looked at many apts in Paris and said this one was one of the best in this area ) The owner, Scott met us as he was in Paris. Helped carry bags up stairs, showed us everything. Made us coffee and got us settled! Apt is super nice! Clean, modern...huge bath and kitchen well equipped. Called us after few days to make sure all going well! A day before departure Laurent called and arranged taxi to avoid French strike that day! Rental process was easy, easy compared to others I reviewed. Would recommend apartment! Would recommend over 55 (I sure am past that) but be aware the stairs are a nice climb but good for you!

Très Magnifique!

My wife and I stayed in this apartment for a week in celebration of our anniversary. It is perfectly situated for many of the sight seeing hotspots which all can be reached on foot within a short distance. Just around the corner is a charming street called rue de Buci which has everything you need to make your stay more comfortable from a grocery store to a number of produce stands, boulangeries and cafes. My wife was delighted with the fresh flower stand there.

The apartment was very clean and well maintained. The bedroom is upstairs and extremely quiet--we slept soundly every night from the moment our heads hit the pillows. The apartment has all the necessary amenities and the kitchen is well equipped for a meal at home. Every morning I would walk to the boulangerie just down our block for fresh croissants which we would enjoy with coffee we made at the apartment before starting our day.

Laurent, our contact in Paris, met us at the apartment right on time and was extremely helpful and courteous. It is nice to know there is someone there you can reach at any time if necessary. As we had our laptop with us, Laurent even sent occasional articles on things to do or see while in Paris or interesting articles about the city.

As others have commented on the stairs I will not go into it any further other than to say, yes there are several flights of stairs (actually a spiral staircase), however, unless you have a health condition they are completely manageable. The fact is elevators are a rarity in Paris except at the newer and larger hotels. The benefits of being on the top floor--extremely quiet and great skylights/windows in the upstairs--far outweigh the detriment, if any, of dealing with stairs.

The owner was great to work with and responded immediately to any inquires we had.

We feel that renting an apartment is infinitely better than being confined to a small hotel room and for the price you could never find a comparable hotel (on our last visit to Paris our hotel, also in the St. Germain des Pres area, was so small you could practically touch the walls on either side when standing in the middle of the room). We highly recommend this apartment and plan to stay there on our next visit.

My husband and I just returned from Paris. We absolutely loved the apartment, the location being perfect. I would only be stating everything else you've read....the owner and his representative were a pleasure to work with, the apartment is wonderful and we will NEVER use a hotel again....We are already planning when we can get back here again.

Great location, so close to all of Paris!

This is a really wonderful modern apartment with everything we wanted for a great stay in Paris. Clean, new, quiet and incredibly well maintained. We stayed here with our two young sons (3 and 6) and had an incredible experience. The apartment is steps away from all the major things to do and see in Paris. In one direction and right over the Pont Neuf, is the 1st er. with the Musee du Louvre, Musee L' Orangerie, the Tuilleries, etc. Take a left and walk a few blocks and your right in front of Notre Dame. In another direction you are in the heart of the left bank - 5th and 6th er. so close to the Luxembourg Gardens. You are also incredibly close to major transportation in all directions, just a couple of blocks from Place St. Michel. The RER from DeGaulle stops right there. The property owner and the local representative that met us to show us the apartment were an incredible delight to work with. The apartment was such a big part of my family having a great Parisienne experience! I would easily recommend it to others and hope to stay there again. Our boys didn't want to leave and can't stop asking when we are going back.

Our New Parisian Home

My husband and I went to visit our daughter who is studying in France and wanted to have a great space and location.We got it!

This is an incredible apartment that combines antiquity and great modern renovations.The upstairs master and bath are luxurious with great skylights. The first floor has a wonderful living and dining room area with a fireplace and great light.The kitchen is large and fully equipped.I am a clean freak and the apartment is immaculate There was an areo bed that my daughter slept on and it worked out well for her.The 1/2 bath on the first floor is great with an extra person.The apartment is on the top floor and there is no elvevator.Not a problem for us-we liked the exercise.

We were greeted by Laurent, who manages the apartment.He is so friendly, helpful and speaks French, English and German He emailed us while we were there to see how we were doing and gave us great inside tips for things to do.It was like having a friend in Paris Bonjour Laurent!

The apartment is in a 16th century building and overlooks a courtyard and is very quiet.The 6th arr. is the best location,We were directly across from a 4 star hotel that was charaging 500E a night. It is a great place to go and have a drink and hear some jazz.We could walk to everything, it is safe,and withing 5-10 minutes to 3 metro stops including one that goes directly to CDG.There are great restaurants of all kinds and price ranges, food shops, interesting stores and galleries and things to do just outside the door. We loved Chritines, Le 24 and La Rosa, Jacques Cagna's restaurants and the bakery Pierre Herme is a must! Wonderful classical concerts at churches that are very close.One is the oldest church in Paris.The Catacombes were amazing! The Tour Montparnesse is a great way to see the city and no lines!

There are so many fascinating and charming side streets off of the main streets We could have spent our entire trip in the 6th. However, we could walk to the Seine and Pont Neuf in 3 minutes and walk anywhere from there.

It felt like home as soon as we walked in and we cannot wait to go back. We loved the CD's and books too. There is wifi,but, bring your laptop. Scott, the owner is located in Boston and is the Best !He even met with us before we left to talk about our trip.It really helped making the arrangements with someone who is located in the USA.

We would highly recommend the apt! We want to keep it to ourselves,but,are telling all our friends.
