This beautiful old farmhouse and barn have been lovingly restored as a modern vacation or year round residence. 20+ acres of forest, a large garden, water view, and the peace and quiet which makes it ideal as a vacation spot. You’re a five-minute walk from Cape Split and beaches, sunsets over Pleasant River Bay, endless hiking in the woods and blueberry fields, bird-watching, freshwater lakes, and all the pleasures of Maine. Located in Addison, Down East Maine, you’re an easy drive to Bar Harbor, Machias, Ellsworth, or just over to the village in Milbridge for rich coffee and even richer homemade cake at the Chicamoose Café. In the cooler season the fireplace and the wood stove in the kitchen are just the right spots for a relaxing evening.

lovely old farmhouse

The house is beautifully restored, with lovely furnishings. It's so spacious that my husband and I barely had a chance to use all the rooms. It's also a short walk to a lovely beach, a great place to watch the sunset. It's a good base for exploring the nearby area, which has some nice hiking trails, scenic drives and little villages. It's not far from Lubec and Eastport, where it's possible to take ferries into New Brunswick, Canada. Roger is also a good host. We'd love to come back sometime.

A really nice place to stay. Wonderful old refurbished farm house with plenty of room and rooms for everyone.
Near the ocean/river inlet with cool weather the whole week.
Good place to explore the Northern Maine coast line.
Roger and Emi are nice folks and great hosts.
