This enchanting cottage features a large great room with fireplace; fully equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops; in-house washer and dryer with laundry supplies; spacious master bath with dual lavatories and glass-enclosed walk-in shower; guest bath has glass enclosed tub; bedrooms appointed with luxurious linens, pillow top mattresses, down filled pillows and comforters. Designer furnishings and fine art work. Central heat/air conditioning, flat screen TV, wireless Internet and off street parking. The Lily is perfect for couples seeking a romantic hideaway. This cottage is intimate, upscale and sophisticated. The property was designed for adults seeking a place for rejuvenation. This property is surrounded by a mature English garden, offering both shaded and sunny spots for reading or sunbathing. Access to Lake Michigan is just a block away at the Douglas Beach which has restrooms and easy steps; Oval Beach, nationally known, is a mile away by car; no steps; parking $6/day.

We welcome children over the age of 10. No pets or smoking allowed. This cottage is located at The Gardens, a two cottage property. See Listing 152073 for a description of the larger Azalea cottage.

During the prime summer months, this cottage is available by the week only. We will be happy to book shorter stays prior to June 15 and after Labor Day.

This property is located one block from Lake Michigan in the Village of Douglas, just across the bridge from its better known neighbor, Saugatuck. There is easy access to the beach through a public park that includes restrooms. Sandy beaches line the lakeshore; one can walk miles in either direction along the waters edge. Nationally known Oval Beach is just 1.5 miles away by car--parking $6.00/day. Downtown Douglas, less than a mile away, has a full service grocery store, some of the best restaurants in the area, boutique shops and art galleries. Charming Saugatuck, just 1.5 miles away, also offers fine and casual dining, shopping, theater and art galleries. Wine tasting, dune schooner rides and harbor cruises just minutes away. Several golf courses within easy driving distance.

The 'Liliy ' cottage is everything & more from the layout to the excellent choice of linens. Truely an upscale version of well managed J.W. Marriott ;Edition' hotel suites. Nat & I loved every moment there, from the exquisite decor, easy Lakeshore drive & beach access to local dining ( me shopping). Karen pays attention to every detail to make guest feel comfortable. The patio & gardens are simply lovely, very well maintained property. We look forward to returning next year with a longer stay in mind.

We have been coming to Saugatuck/Douglas every summer for over 20+ years and this is by far the best seasonal rental in the area. Your host Karen has made sure that every detail has been addressed to make your stay absolutely perfect! The photographs do not do justice to the fabulous home or lovely gardens. From the classic custom interior to the flawless linens, you will be pampered in luxury during your staff. We hope to make many returns to this charming cottage located in the special villages of Saugatuck/Douglas, Michigan.

When my friend and I walked in we were speechless. It is a beautiful place. It had everything you could want. The cottage was immaculate and very well maintained. The owner left files of things to do and places to eat. They were all spot on. It is a well run operation. What the owner describes, is what you get. Only better!!!!!!!! I would recommend this cottage to anyone. I have inquired about next year already. Lots of attractions, shops, and restaurants. We came back relaxed and back to reality!!!

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Lily cottage. Everything was beautiful and very clean (like new!). The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that even four beach towels were provided for our use (fantastic since we forgot and left our own beach towels at home). The location was wonderful as well. It was very convenient to both Douglas and Oval Beach. I can't say enough positive things about the Lily cottage and its owner. This was a fantastic rental experience!
