Romantic Cottage in quiet residential neighborhood short walk to Bar Harbor's village center or Acadia National Park, Whalewatch Waterfront, Kebo Golf Course , and Bar Harbor’s famous Shore Path past the Mansions along Frenchman’s Bay. Swim at one of 4 close by ocean beaches or the YMCA pool and use their weight room! Walk to quaint shops, museums, fabulous restaurants, entertainment, kayak tour and bike rental shops. A short walk to the hub of the free Island Explorer bus routes that take you to all corners of Acadia National Park for hiking, rock climbing, carriage rides, walking, canoeing, and ferry boat rides to remote islands with spectacular vistas of mountains rising up out of the rocky Maine coastline along each route! Cottage has a queen bed in a Sleeping Loft, a futon couch/double bed in the Living Room, full Bathroom and Kitchen all furnished with linens, towels, & kitchenware. The yard is fenced-in behind owner’s house, and has a gazebo, lawn furniture and a gas grill

Access to loft is by a ladder and loft is open to Living Room and is not safe for very young children, babies, or people afraid of heights. Double bed Futon sofa is on the main floor in the living room, which also has pillows and bedding for the double futon, a dresser, 2 desks, arm chair, lamp, air conditioner, ceiling fan and 2 closets. Air-conditioned and fully furnished throughout.

Notes: YMCA indoor/communal pool and excellent fitness room is 2 blocks away. Children's outdoor wading pool and swings in nearby park. Toddler's playground 1 block away with jungle gym, backhoes, swings, slide. Mosquitoes are not a problem in Bar Harbor with our ocean breezes, so sitting out in our fenced in yard under the Gazebo is a very peaceful way to start or end your day! On-site therapeutic massage is available during your stay - reservations are recommended. This is a quiet residential neighborhood where families go to bed around 9 or 10 pm and are up at 7 or 8am. It is not a suitable location for late night partying, but there are entertainment venues within walking distance. The cottage caretaker lives on the same property.
