Swim at 4 nearby ocean beaches, Toddler Pool, or YMCA pool (& weight room!) Ten min. bike to Acadia National Park Carriage Roads around Eagle Lake. Summit of Cadillac Mt. 20 min. by car, 2 hrs. on foot! Walk right from your cottage on Great Meadow Loop Trail, to Bar Harbor’s famous Shore Path by Mansions along the Bay or to Village Green evening concerts! Ten min. walk to free Island Explorer buses to all corners of Acadia National Park for hiking, rock climbing, carriage rides, walking, biking & canoeing. Cottage has WiFi, a queen bed in a Sleeping Loft, a futon couch/double bed in Living Room, full Bathroom & Kitchen all furnished with linens, towels, coffee maker & kitchenware.   • From June through November, electricity, heat, Internet, air-conditioning and basic weekly cleaning at check-out is included. Kitchen is fully furnished including soaps, spices, paper towels, napkins, dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker, blender, microwave, stove, toaster oven, cups and glasses, mixing bowls, measuring cups and measuring spoons, silverware and cooking knives, barbeque utensils. Towels, sheets, pillowcases, blankets, pillows are provided for tenants renting FULL weeks. Partial week rentals: tenants must bring sheets, pillowcases, towels. December through May
  • MONTHLY WINTER RENTAL AVAILABLE: During Winter, tenant must provide bedding, towels, cleaning and pay for cable, water, internet, phone, heat and electricity. Our cottage is a great Winter Rental for a college student or Post Doc Fellow - plenty of room to spread out projects and MUCH quieter than a dorm or shared house! Cottage is well insulated and has a very efficient monitor heater. No tax on monthly winter rentals.

  • 'Tree House' type sleeping loft is in the windowed peak of the ceiling. Kneeling room only, Air Conditioned (remote control,) and queen mattress is on the carpeted floor. Furnished with pillows, bedding, light-block curtain, bookcase, lamp and clock. Access to loft is by a ladder and loft is open to Living Room and is not safe for very young children, babies, or people afraid of heights. Double bed Futon sofa is on the main floor in the living room, which also has pillows and bedding for the double futon, a dresser, 2 desks, arm chair, lamp, air conditioner, ceiling fan and 2 closets. Notes:
YMCA indoor/communal pool and excellent fitness room is 2 blocks away. Children's outdoor wading pool and swings in nearby park. Toddler's playground 1 block away with jungle gym, backhoes, swings, slide. Mosquitoes are not a problem in Bar Harbor with our ocean breezes, so sitting out in our fenced in yard under the Gazebo is a very peaceful way to start or end your day! On-site therapeutic massage is available (for a fee)during your stay - reservations are recommended. This is a quiet residential neighborhood where families go to bed around 9 or 10 pm and are up at 7 or 8am. It is not a suitable location for late night partying, but there are entertainment venues within walking distance. The cottage caretaker lives on the same property. Rentals less than one full week, tenant must bring pillowcases, sheets, & towels. Winter rental, tenant pays for utilities and must provide own bedding.

My two children, Ben the dog and I loved our week in this cottage in a neighborhood in Bar Harbor. Easy walk to all that Bar Harbor has to offer, including the Village Green where free buses to all over MDI await. We also brought our bikes and would highly recommend that as well. The owner was friendly and checked in daily, without being at all intrusive. The cottage was cozy and clean with everything we needed for restful times in between excursions.

We had an amazing vacation in Bar Harbor. Robin is excellent to work with and we found the property to be everything that she said it would be. Robin is also very helpful in answering questions that you may have about area attractions and offers suggestions if things to do as well. The cottage is walking distance to town which ensures you will not need to circle town in an attempt to find a parking space. You are also close to the local YMCA and the town tennis courts. The cottage was cute and very clean, and Robin provides basic cooking utensils and pots and pans. I highly recommend this rental property and look forward to a return trip sometime in the future.

Immaculate cottage

I came here for a week with my partner and our two dogs. The cottage itself was incredibly clean and very cozy. Location was absolutely perfect as it was just far enough from the downtown strip to be quiet and removed yet a five minute walk into town. Acadia Park is close as well. The owner was incredibly friendly and provided information if we needed and a local's insight on some things which you might not find in a guidebook of from a front desk clerk. If you are looking to cook a few meals yourself, want a little more room than a hotel, great value for your money and a nice spot to call you home base, I would highly recommend this property. Exactly as advertised.
