The Guest House is in a rural neighborhood located 30 miles west of New Braunfels, above Canyon Lake Dam. Enjoy canoeing, tubing, swimming and relaxing in this river front home on the beautiful Guadalupe River. Decorated with antiques and rustic charm the guest house is two stories with the bathroom, full service kitchen, eat in bar area and the bunk room (twin bunk beds) downstairs. Upstairs is the bedroom (two full beds) and living room. The living area includes a sofa bed and dining area. French doors off the living area open to a covered deck with an incredible view of the river. The porch downstairs also has a covered grilling area (charcoal and gas grills), bar and outside shower. We are within 30 minutes of New Braunfels, San Antonio, Boerne and within 1 hour of Fredericksburg and Luckenbach.

I agree with everything the previous reviewer said. We stayed there almost 2 yrs ago and always look at staying there first if we are going to be vacationing in that area.

The secludedness yet not very far from civilization was a very appealing part of our stay. We were able to enjoy an afternoon at the cabin on the river one day and the next go into town and to visit Schlitterbahn. The accomodations were very nice and clean and the owners were extremely nice. We also were there on a weekend with a low flow rate, so I can't attest for high flow rates, but it was perfect for us and our 2 year old son who loves to throw the rocks into water.

Great Stay!

This house was perfect for my family of 5. We had plenty of space and loved the rustic decor. Great patio and balcony areas with great views of the river. The river was low during our stay making it great for the little ones so call before to check the river level. We did a lot of swimming and tubing and relaxing. We also saw some wildlife including many deer sightings and some beautiful birds. This place is secluded which was exactly what we were looking for but only about 10 minutes from a large grocery store and fast food places. The owners were very helpful and gracious hosts and assisted us whenever we needed something.
