Great complex, on bike path leading to ocean and great restaurants! 6 blocks to center of village area.
There are lots of things for a family to do within a couple of miles from our complex. The furthest beach access is about 1.5 miles from us. You can gain access at the end of Mallery Street (about 7 blocks) and there are several other beach access points from there to East Beach and Goulds Inlet.
LARGEST RESORT COMPLEX/ QUIET AND BEAUTIFUL PLACE: Ocean Walk has the most amenities of any complex on the island and it is also the largest. We have 16 acres with a lake situated in the middle of the complex. This complex is one of the few that has lots of greenspace between buildings, great oak trees and the complex is very well maintained. We have management staff onsite who oversee the complex on a daily basis.
Our pools are cleaned and inspected daily. Our front pool is heated starting in September. Our back pool has an internet cafe area that is also frequently used for cocktail hour by our guests.
ST SIMONS RICH IN HISTORY: THERE IS SO MUCH TO SEE YOU MAY NOT GET IT IN DURING YOUR STAY.
SHORT TRIPS CAN BE MADE TO OTHER HISTORICAL AREAS AS WELL. SAVANNAH, GA AND ST. AUGUSTINE FLORIDA ARE WITHIN A 1.5 HOUR DRIVE. BETWEEN HERE AND ST. AUGUSTINE THERE IS FERNANDINA BEACH AND AMELIA ISLAND IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHECK OUT THESE COSTAL AREAS TOO.
There is historical Fort Frederica here on the island and Fort King George is a nice 30 minute drive. Fort King George is great for families with smaller children because the Fort has been recreated and they do not mind if kids/parents reenact and play within the fort. Both forts are very pretty locations too right on a river.
Jekyll Island is about a 30 minute drive. Jekyll is a state run park, there is a $5.00 parking fee to enter the island. Jekyll has a cool turtle center and a water park. Jekyll beachs are a little hard to access but worth the little trouble to get there. Millionaires village is a historical area on Jekyll you may want to see too
This Island is so peaceful and beautiful.: Hop on your bike, rent a golf cart or just get out and walk. The island had bike paths that encompass a majority of this island. If you are a fisherman we have a fresh water lake that is stocked with fish onsite and there are three fishing piers if you prefer salt water fishing that are within 2 miles from our location.
Ocean Walk is a very quiet family friendly resort. The clubhouse has a ping pong table, reading room, tv room and fitness center. It also has wifi and a business center.
Within walking distance of this complex you will find plenty of great restaurants and shopping. A short drive away there is Bone Fish, Outback, McDonalds etc.
There are two grocery stores here on St. Simons, the closest one is about 1 mile away, it is Winn Dixie. Harris Teeter grocery is about 3 miles away mid island. Wal Mart and Target are in Brunswick and are approximately 9 miles from our location.
Bowling Alleys are in Brunswick approximately 10 miles away, one is near I95.
