Located in the heart of the prestigious 8th district of Paris, the apartment is close to the famous department stores, the 'Madeleine' prestigious shops, theatres (Opera Garnier, Mathurins), Champs-Elysées (Cinémas, Public gardens,, Museum (Louvre at 4 metro stations) - all necessary neighbooring shops and restaurants are close (Europe bio Marketplace, Kayser bakery, Monoprix). The apartment is nestled on the 5th floor of a typical XIXe century Haussmann building built in 1868 and which was a property of the Duchesse of La Rochefoucauld family until 1980. The living-room and the dining-room overlook a quiet residential street and open onto a balcony. The three bedrooms and the kitchen overlook a white painted courtyard, and the St Augustin church dome. Newly refurbished and decorated in a contemporary taste, the apartment has however conserved its Parisian charm (mouldings, marble fire-place, original parquet flooring). This apartment is in a great location and in walking distance to major attractions, restaurants, grocery stores, etc... It is very clean (renters are expected to clean and wash all linens in the apartment before departing, which I was not aware of); good customer service on the part of the owners; I would highly recommend this property; however, we were 6 adults renting and there was only 1 double bed. The other 2 rooms contained small single beds. If you plan on cooking at the apartment, there is only a stove top and convection microwave oven and limited cooking utensils.

Beware the third bedroom,is quite small.One bed is uncomfortable. The other bed is literally on the floor. It is also on wheels.This bedroom is not suitable for adults. Otherwise is apartment is lovely.Well maintained. Close to all. Excellent dining. We enjoyed our stay.I'd reccommend this apartment for any group of 4 adults or less.(we were 6 adults)

This apartment made our Paris trip the best one yet. The location is perfect for getting to all of the great sites. The owners are exceptionally helpful and well organized. The apartment is elegantly furnished yet comfortable to come home to. I have been to Paris 5 times and wouldn't stay anywhere else now. I would highly recommend this apartment as it has everything you could want, location,ambiance,comfort and great owners.

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment immensely. It is very elegant, light, and airy, with wonderful high ceilings and classic charm. It is beautifully decorated, and is equipped with every modern convenience. In addition the location is great. The apartment is close to shopping, transportation, and many of the beautiful sights of Paris. There is lots to see and do within walking distance, and with the excellent bus, metro, and train systems so easily accessible, you can get everywhere with no difficulty. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

This was our first time in France and we loved it! The apartment was everything the owners described! They were extremely nice and helpful. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. My family and I are hoping to come back next year and rent this apartment again!!! The location was in a very nice neightborhood, a less than 10 minute walk to the bus station, metro, and Gare St. Lazare. It was also a short 15 minute walk (once we firgured out the short cuts) to the Printemps and Galleria La Fayette for shopping! There was a bakery located with in a 2 minute walk for our fresh crossaints every morning! Monoprix and other grocery stores were close by and came in handy every night when we cooked dinner! For the English speaking vacationers, there is only one English speaking channel on the TV, so I suggest bringing many DVDs to watch! We went out and bought some used DVDs in Bastille and left them with the apartment.
