Corolla has a PGA rated, first class golf course at the Currituck Club as well as many other golf courses in the surrounding areas of Kitty Hawk, Nags Head and Moyock. Corolla is quiet and quaint with all kinds of water sports, nature adventures, beaches, family fun activities, boutique shopping, day spas and top notch dining experiences, a brick lighthouse, Heritage Park Art Nouveau Mansion, soundside park, educational center and aquarium. Near-by Duck has more shopping, water sports and dining. A short drive to Kitty Hawk offers the Wright Brothers Memorial Park where the first air flight occurred. The first airplanes are exhibited in the museum. In Nags Head you can spend a day in the outlet mall or climb Jocky's Ridge sand dune, great fun for the kids. A fun day trip is along the coastal road to Hatteras Village where you can take the ferry to Ocracoke Island. The island is known for local artisans.

4th of July Celebrations & Specials:
The biggest event of the season is the 4th of July Celebration at the Heritage Park Whalehead Club in Corolla. There will be the most amazing fireworks display over the sound. Just bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the park with its restored mansion, incredible foot bridge and unique Corolla Lighthouse. The fireworks are bigger than life! Preceding the display is an outdoor celebration with music, dancing and food vendors. Fun activities for the kids as well. Come one, Come all, its a day you don't want to miss.
