Date of Stay: November 2009
Every year for 22 years, 4 buddies of mine and I get away for a long weekend to play cards, watch sports and argue politics. Our criteria for lodging is comfort, out of the way, access to great food, and beautiful scenery. This year, our stay at Trimble Creek Lodge exceeded all expectations.
When I read the description and looked at the pictures on VRBO, I thought "wow, this looks like a nice place." When we arrived, I thought, "Holy Cow! The description and pictures do not do it justice." The sleeping quarters were warm, inviting, spacious and accommodating. The Lodge, however, was absolutely spectacular! It is beautiful, ornate, and spacious with games, books, a pool table, fire place...everything you could imagine PLUS a most majestic view of Bull Shoals Lake. Incredible.
What really made our stay, however, was the graciousness of our hosts, Michael and Lorilee. They thought of everything.
I have two strong recommendations, however: #1 make sure you have everything you need before you arrive (i.e. drinks, snacks, etc), because you will NOT want to leave. #2 Order meals! Lecy's Shrimp and Pasta was spectacular and the Pork Tenderloin was delicious!
Thanks Michael and Lorilee for an outstanding weekend!
