Incredible views, clean home, caring owner

I was very lucky to choose this house for a long weekend getaway for July 4th. The views from the property are better than you could possibly expect--you are essentially on the side of a mountain with a steep drop to a secluded creek, whose rushing water provides the perfect background noise for a serene weekend. The owner has created several areas for appreciating the view; they are built into the landscape, providing a feeling a being right in the middle of nature, while also being able to lounge in the comfort of an oversized Adirondack chair... The house itself offers unending windows for appreciating the view, and the plants inside the house also help to bring the outside in--making you feel as if you are outside even when you are not.
The house was clean and very well maintained; the kitchen was a delight, with a *real* Viking range (I emphasize that because some of the new models leave something to be desired--this one is the real deal).
Other perks included a great selection of music (I think the owner may be my musical doppelganger); a dock for your iPod if your musical tastes aren't satisfied by the amazing selection on offer; a deck perfect for a morning of yoga (with plenty of room for more than one yogi); skylights in the bedrooms, ensuring neverending natural light; and a secluded hot tub that is wisely placed not to interfere with the view.
The owner was courteous and timely in all my communications with him.
Highly recommended for your Catskill getaway!
