Enjoy a private paradise with great ocean views of Madaket Beach from the large upper-level deck with teak set for 8 & 2 steamers overlooking a large yard! This home has all amenities, including WiFi, is surrounded by conservation land and is minutes from the beach. The living rm, kitchen and 1/2 bath are on the 2nd floor. The living rm has a 40' flat-screen TV w/ digital cable + DVD + surround sound w/ outdoor speakers. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, vita mix blender, dishwasher, microwave, seating for 6+, lobster pot +++. There is a Godzilla-size gas grill outside. The 2 bedrooms are on the lower level w/ all new linens and duvet comforters, each a fan. The master bedrm has a King-size bed, walk-in closet & 32' flat-screen, DVD + cable + surround sound w/ access to lower deck where there is an outdoor shower + large porch swing. The guest bdrm has a Queen bed w/ closet. A full futon and full bath (tile shower) + washer/dryer in the basement w/ a flat screen.

The house is well secluded down a private sandy road (Massasoit Bridge Road) shared by a few neighbours. A large area of conservation land separates the house from the ocean on Madaket Beach and you can often see deer, rabbits and various birds of prey roaming the grounds. If you would like, you can walk to the beach or take the island shuttle from the corner of Cambridge Rd. and Madaket Rd to get to this one or other beaches, like Surfside or Cisco, or even travel into Town. There are also reliable taxi services around the island (A-1 Taxi).

  • The outdoor shower is located on the lower-level deck to which the Master Bedroom has direct access through sliding doors. The lower deck is also accessible for all from outdoor steps on to the deck. There is a large sunbrella porch swing on the lower deck.

If you have a small child, you may want to bring your high-chair. There are 3 flat screen TVs each hooked up to an HD digital cable box each located in the living room, the Master Bed and the rec room in the basement, respectively.

Planning ahead...: If you've never been to Nantucket during the summer, you will find the island is buzzing with activities. If you choose to venture out for a nice dining experience (our guestbook will give you some suggestions) you may want to call ahead and make reservations. For example, Black Eyed Susan's, a local favorite, only accepts advance reservations for 6pm and has very limited seating.

A wonderful place! Everything it said it would be. This was our second stay and it has become a home away from home for us. There are all the ammendities of home, yet daily life is a million miles away. When you step out on the upper deck at night you feel like your on the bow of a ship. We will definitely return as often as we can!
