Anna Maria Vacation Rental cottage

We are just coming to the end of a wonderful two week vacation in this property and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's located a very short walk to the beach, however, I would recommend purchasing or hiring a beach cart as carrying the equipment needed for a day at the beach can be a bit cumbersome. The property is very well equipped and nicely furnished. The pool, though small, is very clean & adequate for cooling down. We enjoyed an afternoon of outlet shopping in Ellenton - just a 20 minute car ride away and another afternoon at the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg which was highly informative. Our favorite on-island restaurant has to be Rotten Ralphs. It offered great value for money and the food was excellent. If you're looking for a boat trip you can't go wrong with Captain Kathe located just a short drive over the Cortez bridge at the Starfish Restaurant. All in all I would recommend this property and this location to anyone looking for a friendly & peaceful break on this beautiful island.

This house was just what we expected from the photos and description - actually better. The house has recently been renovated with great skill and taste. It's really clean and comfortable. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and no stairs - all one level. The master bathroom has a beautiful walk-in shower. The kitchen is well-designed and clean and modern. The pool is tiny and we didn't use it because it was a little chilly in January, but it's really pleasant to sit by it in the screened room. The furnishings are all modern and very comfortable. The light in the house is amazing, with lots of windows. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The house is about a block from a beautiful beach and easy walking distance to the Sandbar beachfront restaurant, the Sign of the Mermaid restaurant and some other coffee/sandwich shops. It's a longer walk to the pier restaurants and the Waterfront, where we ate twice. The house was perfect for my parents to spend a month and for us to join them comfortably for a perfect week away from winter weather. I highly recommend this house.

My wife and I just recently stayed here for our honeymoon and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! The pictures do not do the cottage enough justice because it is FAR BETTER in person. I knew from looking at the pictures that the house was very modern and contemporary but after staying there I could not have been more impressed with the place. The pool (really a large hot tub which does have spa jets) is perfect to come back to after a long day at the beach, which is literally a 1-2 minute walk TOPS. The owner is a treat to work with and incredibly nice. My wife and I will definitely stay here again in the future, only this time we hope to bring family along with us. The place is a STEAL for the price. I would most certainly recommend this place to all friends and family.

If you are looking for a great ice cream place try Dips. Vic is the owner and is a pleasure to speak with. He has been on the island for over 20 years now so if you are looking for some local knowledge ask him. Along with Dips I would recommend jet skiing and you might get surprised to see dolphins as you are riding along in the bay, we rode along side 12 of the them !!! :)

The place is everything it says it is and more if you are looking for a very relaxing, serene, and secluded area then this is the place for you.
