Villa Bellamar has unrivalled sea views of the spectacular Baix Emporda coastline and Medes Islands. It is on a quiet road leading to Sa Riera beach (2km) and is only 2 minutes walk from the marine reserve of Ses Negres where excellent snorkeling and swimming can be enjoyed. Aiguafreda beach is a 10 minute walk and the charming old mediaeval town of Begur is 5km away. The villa is in a privileged position with total seclusion rewarded to the majority of the property. It has 320 sq m of living space, plus over 150 sq m of terraces, a private swimming pool and parking for at least 4 cars. The villa is comfortable and comprises 2 living rooms with panoramic views, 5 double bedrooms (3 with sea views), large, fully-equipped, modern kitchen/breakfast room, dining room, 2 bathrooms, a wet room with huge shower and additional WC. It is ideal for entertaining or for families as it has 3 separate dining areas including a purpose built BBQ on a large shaded terrace.

The area has a vibrant culture with excellent cuisine, colourful weekly markets, varied and unique shops and boutiques and a lively nightlife for those who want it. Girona is only 40 mins drive away, Barcelona approx 1.5 hours and the French Border just over 1 hour.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A 20% non-refundable deposit is required on booking with balance payable 8 weeks before departure. Price is for a maximum occupancy of 10 people. Payment will be accepted by Sterling or Euro bank transfer. There is a breakage deposit of £250 payable with the final balance which will be refunded if there is no damage on return from your holiday. These prices do include linen and towels, but not beach towels.
  • Changeover day is Saturday, checkout is before 10am and check-in after 4pm (there may be some flexibility by arrangement).

Notes: The house is fully furnished inside and has plenty of tables and chairs which can be used both outside and inside - the 30m terrace provides the perfect place for entertaining, equipped with a large, purpose-built BBQ with marble shelf surround and offering unobstructed, panoramic views of the sea and coastline. The 3 separate terraces offer sun and shade all day long, so cater for every need. The villa is particularly suited for children of all ages with stairgates both inside and out, and we have a very large selection of videos, books and board games to suit all ages. In the winter, there is underfloor heating, central heating and an open log fire to keep the house warm. The area has a wide range of interest attractions and activities, full details of which are provided in the villa. Our managing agent is also on hand to provide more details about the area and all that it has to offer should you need it.

We just spent a week in villa Bellamar - 4 couples, and everyone had a great time! The villa is just as advertised, with all the necessary amenities, and very comfortable. The outside dining area, where we spent most of the nights, is very private - surrounded by hills, with no other houses anywhere in sight, just spectacular views of the Mediterranean and the Medes islands! The location of the villa is perfect for getting to know Costa Brava - beautiful beaches, stunning little towns and villages like medieval Pals of Peratallada, with great restaurants and markets, and Barcelona not too far away. This was our first visit to the area, but definitely not the last one! And we will certainly choose villa Bellamar next time we travel there.

we just got back from a week at this house--2 families, 4 adults and 6 children, from age 8-17. wonderful visit! the house has the most stunning views in the area--everywhere you look seems like a postcard. the house was more than big enough for all of us, and was well equipped for everything we needed. (although we could have used some beach towels--we hadn't thought to pack any). the local agent who met us was very helpful; we called her several times with questions. while we were there the vintage hotel opened down the road (walking distance). definately worth a visit for a drink, and we would have liked to eat but it was privately booked the night we tried. we definately hope to return to the area, and would certainly look to book this house as our first choice. one caveat: there are a lot of stairs leading up to the house from the parking area, so you need to be in decent shape to stay here!
