Heaven on the mountainside.

Nikki's cabin is a bit of heaven on the mountainside. There are beautiful views of the valley & Chalk Cliffs. The covered back deck is perfectly placed to capture this beauty. Between the views from this deck and the hummingbirds, we would have been happy to spend our whole weekend there.
However, the beauty of the area draws you out. There is incredible hiking starting right outside the cabin, explore ghost towns & pioneer cemeteries, visit the art stores in Salida, and, after a long day, soak in the hot springs at Mt. Princeton.
Visiting Nikki's cabin feels like visiting a friend's home. From oriental rugs on the floor to photos of rock stars on the wall, this is definitely not your typically rental cabin. Nikki's use of quirky antiques & art gives the cabin a magical feel.
We loved staying at Nikki's cabin so much that we returned with the kids. There was so much to do with them-horseback riding, fishing, hiking and swimming. We cooked/barbequed some incredible meals. At night, we roasted marshmallows at the fire pit and marveled at the views of the stars, the chalk cliffs and the valley.
We look forward to our next stay at Nikki's cabin.
