This is a fabulous 2 bedroom plus sunroom, 3 bathroom executive suite. One block to the historic French Quarter, this second floor walk up is the perfect location to call home. Located in an historic building built in 1838, the building is completely gated and only accessed by the other tenants. The extra spacious unit boasts hardwood floors, central A/C and heat, full kitchen and beautiful views of the surrounding city rooftops. Large 700 sq. ft. balcony with 12 ft.double doors off of front bedroom and living room. Marble fireplaces, old brick fireplace in kitchen.

Frenchmen Street is THE place for the best food and live music in the city. One block to the French Quarter, one block to US Mint, 2 blocks to beautiful Washington Park, 4 blocks to Jackson Square, 2 blocks to the river trolley that can take you up St. Charles or Canal Street.(This trolley can also connect you to the convention center which is about 8 blocks away) It is quintessential New Orleans.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 1995

This building was never intended to be a vacation rental. All other units are occupied full time and are very unique. This unit is my home away from home, and is rented when I cannot be there. What makes this property so special is none of the apartments have been subdivided. The smallest is 1800 sq. ft. and the largest is 3600 sq. ft. Units have been showcased in New Orleans magazine.

Frenchmen Street is so unique, and is specifically for a special tenant. You must love jazz,and love the experience. Honestly, if you want peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. This apartment is in the heart of the music district. I personally have 2 children and stay there often, but it is geared for the true music lovers.

I absolutely loved staying at this beautiful historic home. The high ceilings, wonderful character and great scene-watching patio/balcony made this perfect for the 50th birthday celebration of 2 of my best friends. Walking distance to the riverside and Bourbon Street. Memories to last a lifetime!

IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE HEART OF FRENCHMEN ST, THIS IS THE PROPERTY FOR YOU!

We had the pleasure of renting this property as our home base for the 2nd week of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and could not have been more pleased with our choice. This property will put you in the middle of all the action on Frenchmen Street, and you'll be able to enjoy much of it without leaving the comfort of your balcony. As noted by others, the action outside goes into the wee hours of the morning, so this is not a rental for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

The unit itself is extremely spacious, has loads of character, all the amenities you need in a home away from home, and is literally steps away from bars, music clubs, dining, and shopping.

The owners were great to work with, and I'd not hesitate to reccomend this rental to anyone.

BEAUTIFUL HOME, AMAZING LOCATION FOR MUSIC LOVERS!

We stayed in this apartment for a week during FQ Festival and a few days after fest with 6 adults and our 2-year old. The location was perfect with easy access to the French Quarter, French Market, street car and most of all, the amazing Frenchmen Street music clubs. Every night we sat on the AMAZING balcony and enjoyed all the music coming from Maison, located right below us. Brass bands played on a corner just north of us and we even enjoyed a music jam on the balcony across the street from us. The home was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for all of us. We cannot say enough about how perfect this location is. As mentioned in the description, it is NOT a quiet location, but that was our favorite part... we could put our toddler to bed and still enjoy some nightlife from the comforts of the balcony. We will be back in the future!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

This property is amazing. My family has spent many vacations in New Orleans, but the location and gorgeous setting of this apartment made the recent visit the best ever. The property is even more beautiful than the pictures describe. It was very clean, well-maintained and extremely comfortable for our group of five adults and two children. It doesn't feel like a rental. It feels like you're staying with your very coolest friends, who have beautiful artwork, cozy places to rest and relax, great old books to peruse and best of all.... a HUGE balcony that gives you the perfect view of the street theater that is Frenchmen Street. It's so close to the French Quarter that you have the best of all that New Orleans has to offer.

GREAT SPOT!

My girlfriends and I rented this condo for a birthday celebration weekend. The location was perfect, just outside the French Quarter and right in the middle of all the action on Frenchmen Street. The photos of the place are accurate, the apartment is very pretty with high ceilings, old fireplaces, and other period elements. It was very clean, and provided lots of space (3 bathrooms!) for us to spread out. The air conditioning was nice, even though we were blessed by excellent weather while in town, and the balcony is amazing! We called it Ground Zero of Fun...several impromptu parades came by and it was great just people watching and listening to music from the terrace. We had been warned about the noise but it was not bad at all... Had an amazing dinner one night at Adolfo's. I would absolutely recommend this place to family or friends and hope to be able to stay there again sometime soon.

GREAT PLACE

We had a blast. Very convenient to party spots. Nice cafe on the corner. The French Market was nice. Very Accessable to the rail cars. Loved the kitchen and the bedding was great for six guys. Loved the balcony in the mornings! It rained a little too much though.
