Quiet location to experience true Croatian living. This English owned house is set within 2000sqm of olive and fruit orchards deep within the beautiful Istrian countryside. Ideal for children or for an 'away from it all' holiday, yet within minutes of the coast and hills. The house has its own private pool and patio area with barbecue, shower and sunbeds for true relaxation. Children are well catered for with both indoor and outdoor toys. Fully equipped breakfast kitchen with fridge freezer, cooker and dishwasher. Large lounge with 3 seater sofa and chairs and outside a tranquil shaded terrace area surrounded by lavender and rosemary, seating for 6 -8. I double bedroom, 2 twins with extra capacity for children if required. 2 bathrooms and an extra cloakroom. All bed linen and towels are provided (please bring beach towels) Maid service on request. The house has central heating and is a cosy retreat for out of season walkers/cyclists.

The villa is ideally located for a peaceful yet accessible holiday, 10 mins to local beaches and beautiful inland area of medieval Istria, the new Tuscany. The local village of Brtonigla is a true Croatian gem offering superb restaurants, a baker, butcher and mini market. The wonderful walled town of Novigrad is only 10mins drive away where you can stroll through the bustling streets,take in the atmosphere at the harbour or swim off the walls in the stunning clear waters of the Adriatic. The beautiful old towns of Porec, Rovinj and Motovun are within an hour away and nearby Umag offers an abundance of watersports and activities. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists and the village is in the middle of the famous wine and Gastro route, allowing sampling of the superb local produce. Istria has easy access from Italy or Slovenia. Budget airlines Ryanair and Easyjet offer low cost flights to Trieste (1hr from villa) and Venice and Ljubljana (2-2.5 hrs) with charter flights to Pula

Well equipped, clean, and comfortable accommodation in an area filled with wonderful things to see and do. Two fine dining restaurants are within walking distance. An uncrowded wonderful seaside town with a slate beach offering rock pools and shallow warm water (Novigrad) is 15 minutes away by car. Hill villages with artisans, truffles, art treasures, and history can be visited in half a day by car. The roads were excellent. Day-long boat tours can be arranged. The villa is on a bike path. Outdoor BBQ was lovely. Eat outside by the pool, on the patio, or under an arbor perfumed with the aroma of ripening grapes. The pool is beautiful but we found the frigid water too bone-numbing in September to be able to use it, even on sunny hot days. That didn't matter, though. The villa provided us with a great family vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at the house, so peacefull and relexad, the swimming pool was perfect size. A perfect location and place to stay if you want to escape from it all...Sitting on the terras, looking at the pool in the evening with the bbq lighted, what more can you ask for...
Ivka, our housekeeper was the sweetest one ever, she did more than she had to do, making us feel even more welcome in the beautifull Croatia....please say hi to her from Belgium when you go there!!!!

what a wonderful place.property was clean and very well looked after with a wonderful caretaker whom brought us eggs.ideal place for childre. the nearby village had very nice restaurants and a few local shops to buy bread and milk.highly recommened
