3 BR, 2 b, sleep 8 - 10: overlooking Indian Lake, Quiet, Private Road.

Clean, all new property renovated fully in May '07 including beds, carpet, paint (in-out), kitchen, furniture, windows, deck and dock. Beautiful lake front location with huge Alaskan Yellow Cedar deck, dock and water sports (canoe, fishing, rowboat and swimming). Quiet area, serene and natural. No access to homeowner's Assn. beach, but swimming and boating, fishing and wading off dock with shallow water. 5 minutes to perfect beaches of Narragansett, 20 minutes from Newport, RI. Easy trip to family fun, or relaxation on the lake. Quick access to Block Island Ferry, Lobsters, fishing charter and great golf, wine country, casinos, zoo, family attractions, Providence, great restaurants. NOTE: There is a Private Beach for the Homeowners up the road but RENTERS NOT allowed access at that area. Most lake users swim out from dock or use rowboat access (at own risk and subject to proper boat use and ordinances). Lake is shallow..no diving. Bring proper life vests for all users/swimmers. Prime Summer weeks of 2013 will be $1850

There is a canoe and a rowboat available for use by adults only, which is Strictly and fully at the renter's risk! The owner takes absolutely no responsibility once the boat(s) are in use. Use caution and abide by all safety matters (life vests, etc.) The renter takes ALL responsibility of use and observation of state law for safe and proper boating. NO Lake access or boat use after dark.

No groups of under age... a parent or guardian must be on site with each group each night. Strictly enforced: any variance will violate the lease.

Reviews from other guests are exemplary. Clean and comfortable house with convenience in location and accommodation. All weeks taken last year - many are returning this year.

Swimming and boating in lake is permitted but no use of Homeowners beach (Private) is permitted. Homeowners beach is on Indian Trail South across from playing fields and playground area.

    Lakefront property with stroll-down access to private dock. Quiet, serene neighborhood on Private Road with easy access to local attractions including Block Island Ferry/ Cape and Islands, Beautiful Newport (20 minutes), Providence entertainment and dining, casinos and golf, and Newport is only 12 miles away. Avoid the hassle and bustle of Newport parking and excessive rental costs.

    Reminder- No access to Homeowners beach allowed. No noise outside of house after 9 pm and no lake access or use after dark.

    Property has been rented every week of every Summer and every Academc year for last 6 (yrs ownership)

This is the spot for relaxing!

My husband, son and I stayed at this house on the lake for a week and entertained family and friends. The only complaint I have is that we couldn't stay longer! If you are looking for peaceful, tranquility, quiet, restful, this is the place. It only sleeps 8 though, not 10 thus the 4 star rating. Not a big deal.The owners and their dog :) are very nice!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Just returned from a week there and my family had a wonderful time! The property is very well kept and the decor inside the house is very tasteful. Bert is very easy to work with and I would recommend this place to any family looking for a summer rental.

Our family (3 children and two adults) just returned from a week at this property. It was our first vacation home rental and as such we did not know what it would be like, but it was fantastic. The house is ideally located on Indian lake which is very quiet and tranquil. However, it is close to the shopping and restaurants of Wakefield and the beaches at Naragansett. To get to Newport takes approximately 25 minutes. The house itself is spacious, clean and well-appointed. In fact, the carpets had just been steam-cleaned the morning of our arrival The back balcony and even the living room afford a wonderful view of the lake.
We hope to return at some point soon.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
