Great stay for seeing the Asheville sights

Very clean and up to date property, reasonably close to the Biltmore (15 min) and Asheville (20 min). Although it is lacking some amenities we would look for in a mountain retreat (hot tub, fireplace), it was a great value for the price. Comfortably slept my family and in-laws (4 adults and 2 children). Highly recommended as a place to lay your head to visit the sights, but not necessarily as a destination in itself.

Beautiful Cabin in the mountains close to Asheville, NC.

My wife and I spent 5 nights and 4 days in this beautiful mountain cabin. Everything was top notch, nice kitchen, two beautiful updated bathrooms. The only constructive criticism I have is that there are no fireplaces and the beds need to be replaced with modern type comfortable beds. The ones there are old and creaky. I slept on the floor one night because my back hurt so much from no support. About the fireplaces. When I go into parts of the country that are in the cool and cold mountains one of the things I like to do is sit by a fire, either inside or out. This cabin has natural gas, so having fireplaces inside and out that are maintenance free should be easy to do. However, I understand that this may be the owner's preference. Please let me restate that the cabin was beautiful and well maintained. And very secluded if that is what you are looking for. If not having fire places doesn't matter to you then this place is perfect. The manager was very helpful and very easy to contact during our stay there. The reason for 4 stars is the uncomfortable beds, not the absence of the fireplaces. Otherwise, this is a 5 star cabin.

Owner's Response: So pleased you enjoyed the unit. The owners try to think of everything. The comfort of guests is very important to the owners & are replacing the mattresses. Guests comment how cozy the unit is even without a fireplace (no natural gas to this area only propane). We look forward to having you as guests again soon to try out the new mattresses.

Beautiful Weekend Getaway with a Dear Friend & our families

Beautiful Weekend Getaway with a Dear Friend & our families

We had a wonderful weekend staying at your place. Iris was very helpful when we arrived and helped with our questions upon arrival. She also showed us around the place and let us know where items were that we would need for the weekend. The drive to downtown Ashville is an easy drive, but does take at least 20 mins. It is only a 1- minute drive to the outskirts of Ashville. We were hoping for a shorter drive to Ashville, but this was a doable drive allowing us to still have a great view of the mountain side when we woke up in the mornings. I would recommend staying at this vacation home. The house was also a nice layout and provided all we needed for our weekend stay in the mountains.

Owner's Response: Pleased you enjoyed this lovely home & its location. It is an easy 10 mile drive to Asheville & Biltmore Estates. During heavy traffic times it may take more than the 15 minutes. I always suggest staying off interstate I-26 as it gets backed up. Route 25 is a 5 lane highway & an easy way to go to Asheville. We look forward to having you as guests again soon.

We had a wonderful stay last May in this beautifully appointed, impeccably clean home! The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were gorgeous, and the kitchen had everything we needed! The very best part of all, though, was the huge deck and the peaceful view! It was my birthday, and the owners even provided a bottle of wine! My father is still talking about this beautiful home. I highly recommend this three bedroom, 2 bathroom home. We can't wait to come back ourselves!

Relaxing Weekend

The cabin was just as described. The property manager was very flexible with check in times, and everything was in order when we arrived. The drive to downtown Asheville really wasn't too bad at all, but plan on at least 30 minutes with traffic.

There was enough room to sleep 8 if you don't mind sharing beds. The kitchen and bathroom were updated, and overall the cabin was very nice. The privacy was great, you really are secluded and the view from the deck is very peaceful. While it says it is on 10 acres, don't plan on using any of that space. The woods are very dense and while we had planned on hiking around and exploring, I would
leave that to other areas with trails. The driveway was exciting, especially when arriving after dark. You have to climb up the mountain on a one lane road (but it is paved)! I will say while there is plenty of room to park, there isn't much room to turn around. I managed ok in my Tundra but don't plan on driving a truck and bigger than that.

We enjoyed whitewater rafting, brewery tours, paintball, and plenty of great food during our stay. And if you are curious, yes cabs will service this location (plan on $45 to the heart of downtown Asheville)

A quick word about the privacy: if you read the description too fast and are just browsing reviews like I did, take note that the downstairs unit is rented separately. The property manager has great communication though, and we were lucky enough to rent during a weekend when nobody else was there.

I would definitely consider staying at this property again next time I visit the area!
