We love Asheville & visited for many years. We fulfilled our dream building a vacation home in the mountains & want to share this beautiful home with others so they may enjoy the sounds of nature away from the hustle & bustle.
Iris, Manager purchased this house in 2002
The unit is at the end of a road almost to top of mountain on concrete road where you will experience peace & quiet with the sounds of nature. Enjoy nights on the deck viewing millions of stars.
Secluded BUT not remote with easy access to many area activities.
We had a very pleasant stay, the unit is very cozy. The fall leaves & the mountain views from the deck are just gorgeous! The deck is perfect to enjoy the calm & the sounds of the surrounding nature. This week was so relaxing, our family really enjoyed it. We hope to come back soon. Thanks to Iris, the manager, for being so helpful in making this happen so smoothly for us.
Stayed here with 3 young kids, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law. The house is very beautiful, spacios, and very clean. great deck with a grill and beautiful view - perfect for morning coffee and when the kids went to bed. 20-30 min away from downtown Ashville, within an hour drive of great hiking places. We went to Chimney Rock which was great, but would have loved to stay longer and explore other outdoor attractions, because there are many.
Definitely would recommend this place and would love to return here again.
Stayed here with friends to do outdoor activities…and there's lots of that to do not far at all from this place (mountain biking, hiking, rafting, etc.). Location centered between Hendersonville and Asheville gives lots of options for adventure, food & drink, nightlife and sightseeing. The living space is spacious and comfortable, and the huge deck overlooking the mountains is the perfect place for morning coffee or an evening libation. With its three bedrooms and large living area and kitchen, this would be a great lodging option for families. With walk-out access to the deck from both the kitchen and master bedroom and the magnificent vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this would also be the perfect place for couples (I'm looking to take my wife there sometime in the future). It's a little bit of a drive into Asheville, but a very small price to pay for the privacy and scenery of this great mountainside retreat.
I spent a weekend with friends in the Asheville area, and this was a perfect place to stay. The location was awesome. It is located on the side of a mountain, very secluded and peaceful. Beautiful views from the enormous balcony. There's a nice grill and lounges to just sit on the balcony and relax. Although I was with friends for an adventure trip in the mountains, it would be perfect for a family. Plenty of space and immaculately maintained. Also, the owner keeps plenty of guides around to help you find fun things to do and good places to eat....or, you can just google everything since WiFi is also available.
Back to the location, it was very convenient to some of the best mountain biking and hiking around. It's close to zip lines, canoeing, fishing, and white water rafting. We were there for the adventure, but the house is also close to the city of Asheville, so some excellent microbreweries and bbq are very nearby!
This was one of my favorite vacation spots ever, and I don't think I could've found a better place to stay.
We lucked out when planning a last minute getaway with family friends and kids. The cabin had a cancellation so we were able to book it. Very clean and nicely decorated. Great views!! Driveway going up is pretty steep - but then it's the mountains and expected! We will definitely book this place again next time we come to the mountains. Iris the manager was great to work with and was helpful and friendly. She gave us information about the area and left us brochures about festivals that were going on that weekend. Instructions on the fridge were sufficient so we really had no other questions once we arrived. We had such a great time tubing in Asheville, hiking at Dupont State Park and enjoyed the Apple Festival in Hendersonville!!
I stayed in this property from August 23rd to 25th 2014. This property is gorgeous, spacious, beautiful and Wi-Fi ready. The neighborhood and the surrounding cascade of mountain and hills is aesthetic and healing. I hope to be there for my next vacation and I recommend this property to anyone who want have a quiet secluded and private vacation.
