Our quiet 2 bedroom cottage is located amongst old towering oaks with hanging Spanish moss and view of the boats cruising down the intercoastal waterway. The cottage is fully furnished with refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker with coffee and cream, all glasses, dishes, utensils, etc. Washer and dryer, TV in every room with cable, DVD player, CD player, working fireplace with wood furnished, soap and shampoo. You will not need to bring anything, just bring yourself prepared to enjoy the beauty and serenity that our cottage offers.

Our cottage, located in Wachesaw Plantation, has an array of recreational, historical and cultural activities just minutes from the ocean but miles from the crowds and traffic of Myrtle Beach. Wacca Wache Marina is located less than a mile from Wachesaw Plantation where tall cypress and oak trees draped in Spanish Moss and grass covered picnic area make this a relaxing place to enjoy dinner or lunch in their excellent restaurant. Brookgreen Gardens also located about 3 miles from the cottage is a National Historic Landmark with one of the most significant collections of figurative sculptures by American Artists in the world and has the only zoo accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Assoc. on the coast of the Carolinas. Huntington Beach State Park is located minutes from Wachesaw and offers its visitors three miles of uncrowded, secluded and natural beaches. About 15 miles north are all the wonderful and fun activities that Myrtle Beach has to offer.

  • Daily cleaning service available for an additional $40.00 per day.
  • If you are staying in our cottage you will be able to play golf at the Plantation. Wachesaw Plantation is a private golf course so unless you are accompanied by a member or staying in our cottage you cannot play this course.
    This is a highly rated top notch Tom Fazio 18 hole course.
    9 hole fee $60.00, 18 hole fee $120.00 both include the cart.
    Tennis Courts $10.00 per day
  • An advance deposit of 30% of your total is required at booking. The balance will be due 30 days prior to your arrival. A $100.00 security deposit is required. It will be returned to you within 2 weeks of your departure as long as everything in the cottage is the way it was upon check in.
    Your gate pass will be available at the Main Gate after 3:00PM day of arrival. Your key and other information will be waiting for you at the cottage.
    Check out is at 10:00AM.
    Cancellation 14 days or more prior to arrive you will receive a full refund.

Great Place to stay, perfect location :)

My husband and I rented this wonderful home in Wachasaw Plantation.
The house was great, very clean, nice porch on front and back of house. Perfect cozy beds.. Views around the home are just pecfect.Quite area. Old southern trees with spanish moss hanging from them. With a coast water way you can walk to. A Country Club restraurant that serves a nice dinner and a Sunday brunch that won't break the bank. The pool area is less than a 1/4 mile from the house. .It's clean and very nice with a snack bar .You can also walk the golf course path which is very sceneic with wild life. The location of the house is near Hunting Beach, super nice for beach. Murrell's Inlet were you can rent boats, Kayaks, or just have a fun dinner on the water. Lots to do and see. I am very picky about rentals and I rate this house with "AAAAA"

We spent the winter of 2009 in this great home. It's a wonderful location amongst towering Live Oaks. Very
quiet and peaceful. The home is well furnished and anything needed is supplied. The owners were great to work with. My dog and I saw an alligator on one of our walks. We were lucky to be there in the spring when the azaleas bloom - too beautiful for words. We enjoyed watching boats travel the intercoastal. The location of the home is close to lots of tourist spots, great restaurants and golf courses. Dave and Sue

Great Vacation Stay!

We totally enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The location in Murrells Inlet was a short drive from the attractions of Myrtle Beach, but also close to less crowded beaches further south. The cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished, which was perfect for our family of 5. Our 3 children enjoyed the luxury of televisions in each of the bedrooms (plus the living/sitting room) and the beautfilful pool at the resort. My wife and I enjoyed the gated community, which provided both tranquility and good areas to walk or run. The well-outfitted kitchen afforded us the opportunity to eat in. Although we didn't have a chance to golf or play tennis, these facilities were evidently top-notch.

Cottage overlooking the 18th Green!

This cottage was one of the nicest I have ever stayed in, the views of the intercoastal waterway and the 18th Green was perfect. When we walked in we automatically felt at home, it was comfortable, clean and decorated beautifully. Whether we were on the golf course, sitting at the pool or sitting on the porch watching the turtles lay eggs it was truly a wonderful vacation. The streets were lined with the most beautiful oak trees I have ever seen, just driving through the plantation was unbelievable and worth taking the time to see. The location was great, close enough for a quick drive to the boardwalk for food and music, but also close to the beach type activites you would find at other resort areas and shopping but quiet when you wanted neither....
Thank you so much for making this such a great trip by having your house available to us and we will make sure to plan for another trip next year, if not sooner!

Quite and relaxing get away

This cottage is so adorable and peaceful. The owners have thought of every detail and have provided everything from thick bath towels to shampoo and toothpaste! The screened in porch is lovely in the morning and evenings. The front porch has rocking chairs and provided a soothing view and cover from a summer rainstorm. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to stay in which we wanted to relax and a DVD player was great for settling in with a movie. We'd like to come back in the fall when we could utilize the wood-burning fireplace. This cottage is a short walk to the golf course, pool, restaurant or river, and is a few short miles from a secluded state park and beach as well as the famous BrookGreen Gardens. Great for couples or plenty of room for a family. We even got to see a turtle lay eggs in the front yard. See it for yourself-you'll be glad you did.
