Use your private stairway from the condo's terrace directly down to the beach. Stroll along the sand to the Omni Hotel. Enjoy lunch on their spectacular oceanfront terrace or at the beach bar. Rent snorkel equipment or take dive instruction at the Aventuras Dive Shop which is located at the end of the swimming pool. In the lobby visit the Paradise tour desk and arrange tours to Tulum, Xcaret, Xel -Ha, Chichen Itza or any other Mayan Rivera site. Visit them online to book tours in advance of your vacation period.
Cross the street to the town center, public marina , restaurants, groceries, Rx, Internet cafe, and souvenir shops. Swim with Dolphins and purchase professional photos of the event. Feed Manatees and Sealions. Arrange fishing charters at Capt. Rick's Sportfishing Center.
A short walk past the new, private marina where you can charter a catamaran excursion, and you'll be back to spend the remainder of your day on the terrace at VDM II, #201. Margarita, anyone
Swimming pool and lounge furniture are for the use of owners, guests, and renters at VDM II, only. No outside guests are allowed. Please do not invite over friends staying elsewhere in Pto. Aventuras. No excessive noise on terraces or pool area after 8:00 pm. No swimming between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am. Rough-housing and 'chicken-fighting' are not permitted at VDM II. Hot tubs on terraces not to be operated after 11:00 p.m. Please be considerate of others' right to a tranquil ambiance. Everyone wants to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere while vacationing here. That is the advantage of a smaller, quieter complex, rather than an anonymous, mega-resort.
Villa del Mar II is a family-oriented condo complex. We do NOT rent to groups of 'Spring Breakers'. Minimum age required is 35 years for the principal tenant of our property.
Puerto Aventuras is a private, gated community on the Mayan Riviera 20 miles south of Playa del Carmen where you can find exciting night clubs and plenty of high-end shopping along La Quinta Avenida. The ferry from Playa takes you to Cozumel, a world-renowned Dive location. The ferry runs hourly from two locations.
About 25 miles further south from Puerto Aventuras is the town of Tulum, home to restored ruins of the ancient Mayan city. Hire a guide for 40 minutes to hear the history of the site. You can swim in the Caribbean there, if you descend many, many stairs down to the surf.
