Awesome Family Beach Getaway

This property was a great getaway for our big family. The bedrooms and living areas were roomy and well furnished. The surrounding yard and pole barn had so much to do - fire pit, play house, arcade games, and that's not even mentioning the beach that's right down the street! The beach was fabulous and very private. There was only maybe 2 or 3 other small families (max) on a huge stretch of beautiful sand right on Lake Michigan. The property owner was very helpful with her directions as well as with the amenities on the premises. For instance, a great big yellow wagon made trips to the beach with our cooler and blankets a breeze. I highly reccomend this place. We'll be back!

My Husband & our 3 kids had a fantastic time at Maggie's home !!! So roomy, clean and decorated just lovely, she had everything on hand our family needed for an enjoyable stay. The home is just far enough outside of town, the woods were beautiful and Lake Michigan magnificent...we play horseshoes, (thanks for the games), campfires, even had our in-laws stay for a couple of days! We loved the quiet beauty for your property! We will be back. Laura & Matt from Lake Orion MI.

We loved this place! Great house you can spread out in with lots of fun things to do. Beach is just a quick walk down the street and is beautiful and very private. Only a handful of people there at any given time. Highly recommend!

I love it.. It was a gorgeous view, loved the woods, and the beach. It was all very private, I will definitely go back next year.

Not As It Seems!!

only heat was from oven and a small old space heater. gas heating stove didn't work, electric fireplace didn't work, no hot water upstairs in shower, limited tv channels, no local channels, games in polebarn didn't work, slot machines didn't work, no view of lake, not an easy task to get to the beach, out in the middle of no where. cell phones don't work. we left a day early to go to Frankenmuth and be near a "town". Plus now I see that I was charged $100 more than the current special for September says. Also should not say that no deposit is required because we had to pay in full before hand and be aware that there is never any refunds, that should also be stated!!
Owner's Response: The gas heating stove has a pilot light,and the pilot light went out and I offered to have someone come out and light it, but you said no. As far as the hot water upstairs, I left a number to call me if you had any problems. I also have satellite, and get the local channels. The cell phones not working, I have a house phone available for use, along with Internet. I also made the reservation with you, before I lowered my price in September and I do not take a deposit, and I did not give you a refund, but offered to change the date for you.
