This spectacular (sleeps 8) custom built home sits on the sand in the beautiful Pierpont Beach area of Ventura. The ocean, with waves perfect for surfing, boogie boarding, or swimming, are just steps from the front door. A large kitchen is a gourmands dream. With all Viking appliances and everything the serious cook is looking. There is plenty of storage and marble counter tops throughout the large kitchen space. This kitchen looks out onto the beach, so you can watch the dolphins swim by as you are cooking. The entire house has been redone inside and out(Completed June 2007). Beautiful 'shabby chic' furnishings make it comfortable and stylish. The upstairs spacious master bedroom furnished with a king-size bed has a large deck perfect for enjoying the view of Channel Islands or watching the sunset. Off the bedroom is a separate large master bath/dressing area.

This remodeled beauty sits directly on the sand on a swimmable beach! From the house you can see perfect sunsets and (if you are lucky!) dolphins swimming in front of the house. There are magnificent views of the mountains, ocean, pier and Channel Islands (on a clear day!). We are perfectly located 30 miles south of Santa Barbara and 60 miles North of Los Angeles. Our house is a 3 minute walk to an adorable retail (mom & pop) area with restaurants serving the best burgers, fish & chips, ice cream, Italian food etc. that you could want.   • This house underwent a total renovation from top to bottom, completed in June 2007. We have created the beach house that we always looked for in a rental but could never find! We have beautiful brand new...everything! Including all new wood flooring, furniture/sheets/bedding, outdoor furniture, beachware, bikes, beach chairs...you name it! The house is extremely cozy yet elegant. If we don't have something you want, please let us know and we will try to have it for your next visit!!! The house is furnished in the Shabby Chic' style.

Beach: We have the ideal beachfront home. With a swimmable beach right outside our door. You can relax, swim, surf, boogie board or just listen to the waves crash! We are a short 3 minute walk on the sand to the most adorable beach town...this area serves burgers, fish & chips, Italian, sushi and much more to all the locals! There is also a great little surf shop! If you want to have more options, we are a 5 minute ride/bike or car to the beautiful town of Ventura. This is the perfect walking town with great restaurants, antique shops, galleries, retail, ice cream...etc. You name it...Ventura has it!

Downstairs there are three bedrooms and two more full bathrooms. There is an open floor plan with two living spaces, a dining area plus a kitchen bar that offers plenty of seating. The home has cable TV, DVD, stereo system throughout the house including outside patios! The side patio has table seating plus additional 'bench seating' . We have a beautiful brand new stainless Steele gas BBQ and an outdoor firepit (perfect for late night s'mores!). There is room for two cars --one inside the garage, one outside the garage. We also have a utility room with brand new front load washer and dryer.

Ventura is a short distance from both Ojai and Santa Barbara for easy day trips. The Ventura Marina is close by and offers Whale Watching and trips to the Channel Islands. Downtown Ventura is gaining prominence as an arts tourism destination. With the acclaimed Rubicon Theatre and the many art galleries, antique shops, and fine restaurants, Ventura is a great place to explore. If you prefer to stay around the beach there are several excellent restaurants within a 3 minute walk on the beach! There is also a supermarket and specialty stores just up the street. The size and location of this elegant home makes it a natural for a family trip or special getaway!

Other Activities: We have boogie board, kayak, skim boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, gas BBQ and much more at the house for your enjoyment

My family and I went to visit this beachfront property and although the pictures were beautiful...in person the house is absolutely perfect. The moment that I walked in the door, I felt a relaxing calm! Every single ammenity was considered..including beautiful bathroom ammenities in each shower! The owners left no stone (or should I say shell!) unturned. They provided a wonderful welcome basket upon arrival and arranged for massages while we were visited! In short, we felt that we had our very own beach house and our very own concierge service the entire stay! Our children (aged 11 &15) loved the house and spent countless hours on the beach out the front door..surfing and swimming just steps away and using the beach cruisers to enjoy the terrific bike path! The town of Ventura is positively charming!! We will definitely be back!
