Beautiful new house on 35 secluded acres nestled in the Wet Mountain Range with stunning views of the Sangre de Cristos Mountains soaring to14,000 plus feet. If your looking to get away from it all with cool Mountain air and peace and quit then this is the place for you. Canon City and the Royal Gorge plus all of your shopping and restaurant needs are only 15 miles to the east if your looking for more of the Old West for your shopping and eating needs the Old West town of Westcliffe is only 15 miles to the west. The house has all the modern conveniences - washer/dryer, dishwasher, fully stocked kitchen, and satellite. Abundant wild life is perfect for nature lovers. For fisherman, take your pick between the many lakes and rivers in the area they all come equipped with breathtaking scenery. The San Isabel National Forest and Grape Creek are less than one mile down the road and there are numerous hiking & biking trails. For the venturesome, the area has excellent white water rafting.

What a beautiful place and talk about peace full the kids could run for ever we almost forgot we had kids. Hiking down by Grape Creek was beautiful and all this within a few miles of town we had a great time thank you Alan & Mindy for sharing your home with are family..

We just arrived home from our stay in this beautiful cabin. Wildlife was abundant and the drive to reach this home was absolutley gorgeous!
The home was immaculate and I would love to stay there again and would highly recommend it to everyone. Advertisement does say four bedrooms it did only have 3? We also only had 2 bathrooms? If staying at this home be prepared in case of emergency that you get no cell phone service and that a land phone is provided for you but that we could not even reach an operator, so please be prepared because it is really far from a city. It did take us at least 40 minutes to reach Canyon City but well worth the 40 minutes for the breathtaking views. I would recommend this home for everyone that wants to get away. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Absolutely Amazing!!!!

If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is the place for you! My family spent a week at the ranch and was astounded at the clean, quiet, and refreshing atmosphere. The ranch house was immaculate with all the amenities, and the property was exactly as described. We spent the week whitewater rafting, hiking, riding ATV's up the mountain trails, shopping in the nearby towns of Canon City and Westcliffe, and relaxing on the front porch of the ranch house. Every evening we watched deer feeding in the fields surrounding the property and every morning we enjoyed the beautiful sunrise over the Sangre de Cristos Mountains. We witnessed one of mother nature’s most magnificent thunderstorms followed by a double rainbow, even the ride up the mountain roads to the property was an exhilarating adventure!! This is a property that we will definitely rent again in the future.

The listing is accurate except for the time quoted to Canon City. We found that it was closer to 45 minutes to get there than the 20 minutes listed. The main road from Canon City to the property is mostly dirt over a mountain with no guard rails. So, the part about getting away from it all is certainly true.
