4 bedrooms, 2 3/4 bathrooms, sleeps 16/22 including sofas

You will be with in walking distance of Patoka Lake in 3 directions and a short three-mile drive to the little Patoka boat ramp. Patoka Lake is Indiana's cleanest reservoir & second largest.

Walk out the back of the cabin, step off the large deck, and you will be on your way to the mouth of Patoka river. Which is quick access to the fast water over 10 mph, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, etc. Walk cross the road and down the hill you will be at the 10 mph zone, fishing, hiking, and relaxing. Follow the road you come in on W. Newton Stewart and it will run right into the lake.

Note: Defined hiking trails are limited near the lodge but most of the surrounding land is public property and available to all. There is more hiking/biking trails at the Patoka State Park approximately 20 minutes away.

We are not handicap accessible. Sorry.

Lodge: The cabin is well equipped with the comforts of home, large eat in kitchen and bar, large table under roofed porch, corner wood stove, with a beautiful hearth, living room and a large family/gathering room up stairs with open balcony looking down on the hearth. There are 2 small cubbyhole rooms for the kids, one called the Bear Cubs Den the other Bat Cave.

To do: You will have quick and easy access to hiking, fishing, boating and hunting. There is plenty of public land available to the hunters. And of course the lake is full of Bass, Bluegill, Catfish, Strippers, and most all other native fish.

Restaurants and stores are approximately a 20-minute drive. Please call or e-mail and ask any questions, we want you to have a great experience while staying at the lodge.

We have stayed at this cabin twice now, and both times have had a great time. It's very clean, spacious and fully furnished as stated in listing. The covered back deck area is wonderful for sitting outside in the evening enjoying the scenery. I would highly recommend this cabin to any of my friends.

I rented this cabin for my family's end of summer getaway and it was a total blast. The cabin was more than enough for 8 adults and 5 children. We loved the back porch and the woods were great for the children to explore and look for bigfoot. The kitchen had everything you needed including 2 refridgerators that we packed full of food. The owners we helpful in setting up our reservation and were quick to respond to emails. We will definitly reserve this cabin again and would recommend it to any of our friends.

A June vacation

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. It was hot and muggy during our stay but the A/C in the cabin was fantastic! Very, very comfortable. The beds were very nice and comfortable as well. Overall, a nice, clean place. Some people have written some bad things about the bugs....well, there were bugs outside...but, you are inthe woods!!! We didnt have any trouble with bugs inside at all. Like I said, very clean and super comfortable. A nice mix of rustic with modern...for the most part...I mean, after all, it is a cabin/retreat...not a 5 star Hilton!! As long as you don't expect the Hilton, you will be more than satisfied....believe me when I say it was way nicer than we expected to get!!! I would say that if I had to find any fault at all with what we were promised and what we got was the fact that the ad says free firewood. You only get a small bag of cut wood to start a fire with.....would last about an hour and thats it. Other than that...were were seriously impressed...So much so that we would have no problem whatsoever booking it again. Very relaxing and room for lots and lots of people!!!
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We regret we had to stop the supply of free firewood, due to cost we can only allow the first one for free, and then extra is available onsite for a small fee. Vacationing at The Lodge

We are a family of 14...12 children ages 5-23. Our stay at The Lodge was very agreeable. From there, we did some boating an Patoka Lake, hiking, and caving. The Lodge was very clean, comfortable, and spacious...felt very much at home. It would've been nice spending more time just lounging around there. The owner was very kind and helpful in scheduling our stay.

Spring fishing/fall hunting

I've used this cabin a 2 occasions, each time has been an enjoyable experience. A couple minutes away from boat ramp for spring crappie/bass fishing and public hunting locations all around in the fall. The cabin has a rustic feel that makes it easy to relax.
