The master bedroom features all new furniture, a brand new king sized bed and Sealy mattress, 600 thread count sheets, down pillows, and even a tropical weight down comforter, and comes with its own master bathroom with full shower.
The large, airy living room is newly furnished and includes a flat screen TV, DVD player and sofa bed. Feel free to hook up your iPod, put on a soothing CD, or pop in a DVD to catch up on the latest movies.
A gourmet kitchen has more accessories than you’ve come to expect in a typical vacation rental, including the aforementioned espresso maker so you can sip your morning latte while watching the sun rise over the ocean just steps away from your patio door..
The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be made into a king by request and is a comfortable distance from the master suite to provide privacy. For kids, we’ve stocked this bedroom with a DVD player and VCR.
For the beach, we have provided beach mats, beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels. In addition, we have a large cooler and plastic containers to transport your food and beverages to any picnic spot on the island. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the Grand Hyatt in one direction, and Brenneke Beach (great for body-surfing) and Poipu Beach just beyond.
And when you’re done for the day, come back to a peaceful, private garden where you can hear the waves crash against the shoreline and enjoy a good book or a beverage out on the lanai.

Payment
A security deposit of $300 is required to reserve your reservation. Please check our calendar for availability before contacting us. Receipt of full payment of the rental fees plus taxes is required no later than 60 days prior to your check-in date. If reservations are made less than 60 days prior to check-in, full payment of rental fees plus taxes is required within seven (7) days of booking.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and personal checks through PayPal (preferred), as well as bank money orders.
Cancellations
Upon 90 days written notice, we will refund the Security Deposit net of a $50 administration fee. If less than 90 days written notice, the entire security deposit will be forfeited. If less than 60 days written notice is received, the entire rent and excise tax will be forfeited unless we are able to re-rent the property.
Extended Stay Reservations
For reservations of three (3) weeks and longer, 20% of the rental fee will be required as a Security Deposit. The Security Deposit amount over $300 will be credited towards the rental fee at the time it becomes due. The remaining $300 will be fully refundable within 30-45 days of departure, provided the Security Deposit provisions are met.
Check-in/Check-out
Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. HST (Hawaii Standard Time).
Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. HST
We will be happy to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs, if possible. Please let us know at least seven (7) days in advance if you would like an early check-in or late check-out and we will advise you if this is possible based on other renters arriving or departing the property.
About Our Condominium: Remodeled from top to bottom, the condo has been furnished to provide a calm and tranquil space for you.
It’s the perfect place to get away from it all, but with the modern amenities you won’t get at a hotel, including free Internet, a full gourmet kitchen, golf clubs, tennis rackets, and beach gear for the entire family! We've added a few extras too, such as a yoga mat and yoga DVDs, and an espresso machine for your morning latte. For kids, we've stocked a pack-and-play, booster seat, and a TV/VCR/DVD combo in the second bedroom.
Our unit is a corner garden unit, very close to the ocean. We have a main lanai which spans the entire front of the condo, including the master bedroom and living room, which has a partial view of the ocean! A 2nd lanai off the other side of the living room gets great sunlight throughout the day.
Because it's located on the east side of the complex, we get the benefit of the trade winds, which keeps our unit cool, even during the hot months.
About Makahuena: Makahuena is a great condo complex from which to base your vacation. In addition to our unit being renovated from head to toe, each resort building in the complex has also just received a full exterior renovation and looks brand new!
The pool and hot tub have gorgeous views of the ocean and are rarely crowded.
World class golfing, spa's, beaches, snorkeling and diving, and the amenities of this beautiful island are just minutes away from your condo!
