Charming Beach house steps from amazing beach

Booked a weekend at this charming little cottage in La Jolla. Was very happy with how responsive the owner was in handling our reservation. Everything was ready for us upon check in, complete with music playing. To say this location is ideal, is an understatement. Literally 2 houses down from the beach. We have a small child and this was key, as we did not have to load the car, unload the car, etc. They have plenty of beach toys for all ages, which was another key factor. We traveled to this destination, so the less luggage on the plane, the better. I took one star off and only because of a few small, minor details. Some of the furnishings, bathrooms, BBQ are a bit dated. Not that it affected our stay at all, but something to point out. Also, my family also owns a vacation rental and use a credit card payment system. Since my wife and I do not use checks anymore, this made it a bit difficult, but still not too bad. I let the owner know this in an email after we left and based on her previous responses to my emails, I am confident she will pay attention to our comments. If you are looking for a place in the SD area, look no further. We will definitely rent again.
