Experience the true flavor of Puerto Rico without breaking the bank. Villa Sol is the ground level of our home. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. The kitchen is spacious and tastefully decorated and equipped so that you can prepare a delicious tropical meal in your own home. The living area has a 27' TV with DVD. Lounge around in comfort on a leather sofa and love seat to watch a good movie or plan your next day adventure using you laptop provided by WiFi. Southern hospitality (North Carolina) is hosted by Jean and Harry Hopkins. In our small garden we have oregano, HOT peppers, and tomatoes. We also have Starfruit, sour oranges, avocados, and bananas all of which are seasonal and we will gladly share with you. Your stay at Villa Sol will be relaxing. Mingle with the locals around the neighborhood. Enjoy the excellent local food. If you want to have a Bar B Q and fresh fish is on the menu, just ask. Dine outdoors, listen to the coquis, and enjoy our quaint neighborhood.

Villa Sol in located on the west coast of Puerto Rico now known as Porta del Sol. Rincon is known for its beautiful beaches , awesome Caribbean Sunsets, cool tropical breezes, sandy beaches, winter whale watching, world class surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and the Punta Higuera Lighthouse. The small town of Rincon has been the home to the World Surfing Championship and many visitors from all over the world come to the town of Rincòn to ride the waves or simply enjoy a great day at the beach. Puerto Rico has 19 major Puerto Rican Holidays and they are celebrated with festivals. We are located in a quite neighborhood known as Community Estela. We are within walking distance to restaurants, shopping centers, bakery, grocery stores, and the downtown area. Corcega Beach, a nice, calm, clear water beach is a minute walk down the street. We will gladly lend you snorkels, masks, and fins to explore the reefs and the underwater life.

Notes: We have an outdoor dining area for you to enjoy. Breakfast is the most favorite meal here, sitting around sipping fresh ground Puerto Rican coffee discussing precious moments of the day before or planning a new day in PARADISE. We have tropical plants that attract beautiful birds. In between my tropical plants, Harry has planted tomatoes and hot peppers so help yourself. After dinner play cards, Dominoes, or whatever game you wish or just relax under the stars and listen to the sounds of the Coqui's. If that is too soothing for you, you can venture off to one our of cafes that provide live music and dancing or try your hand in one of the casino's which are about a twenty minute drive.

My family and I (husband, 2 sons ages 17 and 21 and their friends - 7 people) stayed in Villa Sol for 3 nights in July 08. Accomodations were perfect for us - clean and charming. The 4 bedrooms were comfortable with good mattresses. Kitchen was fully equipped with spices -- Jean and Harry even had milk, coffee, juice, a tray of coldcuts and bread waiting for us upon check in. That was a very nice touch as was Jean doing our laundry! Who could ask for more.

The garden of the house is beautiful and you will be awakened by roosters. The neighborhood is mostly local people. My husband and I took a walk around the neighborhood early in the morning and everyone was friendly. The beach is about a half a block away. Nice for a dip but we chose to go to a snorkle beach about a 15 min drive away -- Jean recommended it -- it was beautiful and snorkling was outstanding. Both Jean and Harry are very knowledgeable about where to eat and go in the area. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend this location to our friends and family. We'll be back too!

A very satisfied family from Colombia

My family, my extended family and I from USA and Colombia just returned from a 5 day vacation in Villa Sol. We had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable, well equipped, extremely well maintained. The proximity to the beach as well as to the neighboring convenient stores makes it an ideal location.
Jean and Harry are very hospitable. they were very attentive to every single detail. They provided us with all the things we needed, including beach umbrellas, and chairs at no extra charge! My 91 year old mother came along to attend my son's wedding and she was the happiest. We were able to handle her comfortably in her wheel chair. Everything went so well that we want to go bach as soon as we can. Jean and Harry are the best hosts ever and we recommend Villa Sol as the perfect place to vacation in El Rincon.

our small group -8 estonians spent 3 nights in Villa Sol, Rincon. Jean and Harry are great hosts and they have nice and comfortable home! We were really lucky there, they helped us with laundry, to find great and fresh food, shared all kind of information, where to go/what to do, lended all kind of beach equipment as well!
Most charming was them help to find lost rental car keys from the beach in darkness! Thank you so much for your support and great hospitality extended to us during our stay!
We recommend you for all our friends and wish you all the best for the future!
We all started to love Puerto Rico and hopefully will come back one day!

Best vacation rental ever!!!

Villa Sol is perfect place for vacation and we would recommend it to everybody who appreciate fresh fruit in the morning, fish grilling in the garden and the nicest hosts ever. The villa was very nice and clean, extremely well-maintained. And rooms were so comfortable, it made us feel like at home:) We were surprised by the equipment that Jean and Harry provided for free: snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, sunshade and clean beach towel every morning :) And the fresh aloe, when we got sunburn.
This place is truly your home away from home!

Dear Jean and Harry, thank you so much for the perfect vacation and we will be back :)

What can I say?...4 of my friends and I spent 5 days at Jean and Harry's beautiful home in Rincon when we came over for a wedding at nearby Rincon Beach Resort and had the most awesome time ever!The apartment was a perfect base for exploring Rincon and Jean and Harry gave us lots of tips (I greatly recommend going to Shipwreck for a meal - delicious).

Apart from renting us such a beautiful home, Jean and Harry went out of their way to ensure our holiday was special, lending us beach stuff (boogie boards, snorkels, fins etc), washing our clothes, providing us with a delicious deli selection for when we arrived after our long flight and even gave some sour orange juice from their beautiful garden to soothe our sore heads after one too many of the local beers :)

The nearby beach is beautiful and pretty quiet which was great. We wish we'd asked about the snorkle beach (stepps) sooner so we could've managed to do that but alas it was too rough the day we went.

I only hope we can convince all of our friends to get married in beautiful Rincon!
