Notes: Most of the rooms in our home have views of Lake Michigan, including spectacular sunset views from our back decks. We have a large, fenced yard with lots of room to play and pretty gardens. The entire home was redecorated in 2007. The entry level includes a more formal living living area with a large TV/DVD and seating for 8 -- a great place to enjoy a movie with the family! We have a fully stocked kitchen with all of the amenities. Our dining room seats 8 and looks out onto the deck and Lake. Watch the sunset from our our screened sunroom or relaxing on our chaise lounges. Upstairs is the roomy master suite with a king-sized four-poster bed, as well as a great view of the Lake. Downstairs is a family room with seating for 9, an area to enjoy a good book and a family video library (with TV). Go out the back door and enjoy our 6-person new hot tub or take a short stroll down our back stairs and across a small road to the beach.

The house was exactly as advertised. A large beautiful home with lovely lake views in a quiet, pretty neighborhood. We used the screened porch every day.The beach was a short step away and the sunsets were breathtaking. It was a very short distance to St. Joseph ( a cute town with great restaurants ) and near wineries, the dunes, and shopping.
I also brought my Vespa and was able to enjoy riding around the area and taking some beautiful photos.
The owner was a pleasure to work with and very timely in responding to communications.
We look forward to visiting this rental again.

We recently stayed in this lovely home. It is very comfortably and beautifully decorated by the owner's wife. Our two children live close by, and it was so nice to have a lot of room to prepare meals together and to enjoy relaxing. On 4th of July, we walked down to the beach to see the St. Joe fireworks . We could see them perfectly from where we were - just a few feet from the house! The sunsets over the lake were spectacular, and we enjoyed watching them from the deck, the patio, or the hot tub! Lasting memories will also include drinking coffee and reading on the deck, bike riding through St. Joseph, visiting South Haven, and eating at restaurants such as Shu's, Silver Beach Pizza, Papa Vino's, and the new Thai restaurant nearby. We loved it!

Lived up to everything that was promised

A lovely home and perfect setting, right on the water! Rocky Gap Overlook lived up to everything promised in the description and proved to be the perfect vacation spot for those looking to relax and enjoy gorgeous views of Lake Michigan from most rooms. We practically lived on the screened-in porch, which looks out over the lake. The beds were probably the most comfortable we've ever experienced in a rental home, the kitchen was fully stocked as promised, and the home was extremely clean and nicely decorated. Pretty much anything we could want or need was supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed watching DVDs on the huge flat-screen TV, and it was great having two large living room areas, with lots of seating, to choose from. This is definitely a great place for large groups or families who want room to spread out for various activities. The yard and gardens surrounding the home were lush and beautiful, and the house sits in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The beach was just down the front steps and maybe 200 feet down the lane. Phillip, the owner, was very helpful and a delight to work with. St. Joe was fun to explore, with a lovely waterfront and shopping area. We especially enjoyed the free summer concerts in the band shell right on the water. We've rented many vacation homes in a variety of locations, and this is truly the best one we've stayed at so far. We can't wait to go back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Rocky Gap. St. Joe is such a quaint little town. It had lots of shopping and resturants. Our grown children and grand daughter came with us and the property was quite roomy. There were quiet places for reading, areas for watching television and dining table for puzzles and games. We were looking for a place to relax and get away from our busy lives. This was it. The house was located is a nice neighborhood and very close to the water. The view from nearly every window was spectacular. The owners were easy to work with and quite helpful.
