Within easy walking distance of Main Street shops and restaurants, Poet's Corner is a charming cape which dates back to the 1860s. Located at the corner of Joy St and MT Vernon, the home is 1/2 mile from the town center and offers easy access to Surfside, Jetties and Cisco beaches. The home has a large private deck and offers off street parking for up to 2 vehicles. Nantucket airport is a short 3 miles away.

Nantucket Island remains a unique vacation local. Once the home of the world's largest whaling fleet; the Island retains much of the charm and architecture of the era. Historic homes, cobble stone streets, shopping, fine dining, museums and miles of sandy beaches make the Island and outstanding vacation destination. Poet’s Corner has unique ties to the past as it was once the home of one of Nantucket's most endearing characters, Elisha Pope Fearing Gardner. During his residence the home became a tourist attraction as visitors would arrive by horse and buggy to buy roasted peanuts, read Elisha's poetry and be amused by the many signs and notices which adorned the property's fences. Today, there are no signs or peanuts just the opportunity to make Nantucket memories.
