Our stay at this property was good; however the property is not as stated. The property is not on the beach, there is a very large parking lot between the building and the beach. The photos show a picture that I could not see from any angle of the balcony. In addition this condo is a studio not one bedroom. Alone these things would not have been a problem, we were still happy with the location and even though smaller than expected we all adjusted.
The problem was getting our $250.00 deposit returned. After 3 months and several request I finally received a portion of my original deposit. I was sent a bill for repairs to a closet door that we did not break, a VCR we never used, and the cleaning of an area rug which only experienced normal use, and which should have been covered under the $110. additional cleaning fee that is non-refundable. I tried to contact the owner to discuss my objections and received no reply.
I could not recommend this property due to the unprofessional practices of this owner. I would not trust this owner.
Owner's Response: This is in response to the above comments about 161407. There was a $250.00 security deposit required to protect the property of 161407. Prior to the stay the condo was checked for any damage there was none reported. After the stay of this person the condo was again checked out. The following was determined to be in disrepair: VCR, rug damage, and closet damage. These things are not listed in the normal cleaning. They are considered damage.I did return $200.00 to the renter. I kept $50.00 to repair the items that were damaged. The person that rented 161406 did in fact read and sign a rental agreement that stated the conditions for the return of the deposit. On a side note, this condo does face the pacific, waterfalls, pool and marina. It has specatular views. You walk down the ramp to the sand. The marina parking (free parking) is to the right side of the beach. I did rent this condo under market price to this person I am very sorry it did not work out for her.
