Beautiful 3 bedroom-2 bath home just 400 steps to the beach access. You will stroll past two ponds on your way down this quiet dead end street. The beaches in Southern Shores are never crowded because only cottage guest and residents have access. If you have little ones, there is a lifeguard stand two blocks to the south. This home will provide you with all the comforts of home as you enjoy the natural beauty and uncrowded beaches of the Outer Banks. The spacious master bedroom has a king bed and private bath with jetted tub. The second room has a queen and the third has a twin over full bunk bed. There is also a sleep sofa in the living room. The granite counter kitchen has a fridge with ice maker, ceramic top stove, a microwave, dishwasher, and is fully stocked with the equipment you need. The family room overlooks the landscaped back yard. This home is ideal for those traveling with young children or older family members because the entry is only 2 steps up. Linens/towels included

It is a short bike ride (bike path) or walk to the Village of Duck yet it offers you all the amenities that Duck doesn't, like tennis courts, parks, playgrounds, boat ramp, beach parking lots, and a soundside beach area with bulkheaded swimming area for small children. These amenities are only available to Southern Shores renters, owners, and residents. Shopping, Grocery stores, and Restaurants are very close. This home has everything you need for a wonderful and memorable vacation. This home is privately owned and managed by the owner. It is very well maintained, regularly updated, and exceptionally clean.

The house was a comfortable little ranch. Though the king bed was two beds put together the crease in the middle was a little uncomfortable. The beach was a little bit of a walk but doable. My kids loved the atmosphere of the house and beach. Nicely equipted home. Overall it was a lovely visit. August 2008

Property was exactly as pictured. Nice for small children because everything is on one floor, a pack n' play and highchair were available for use. Kitchen has every dish one could need for cooking, including a crockpot. Property was nicely maintained. It was a little bit further from the beach than we thought so we ended up driving to the end of the street to drop off our beach items. The property was close to shopping in Duck and within minutes of grocery, gas an other necessities. The only strange thing was the owner walking in during our stay to drop off some books. It didn't seem necessary, but otherwise it was a great place to stay.
