Our most awesome family vacation!

Our visit to California was awesome! The home was everything that we had hoped it would be and more. The home was clean and well maintained.The outdoor kitchen allowed us to enjoy many late evening dinners together.
Our days were spent coming and going to area attractions (a book of ideas was provided by our hostess) with returns "home" to long evening walks at the beach at sunset. One of our favorite experiences was a snorkeling trip. Something none of us had ever done, but we all loved.
Mornings found my husband and myself stepping out early, (before our teenaged kids disturbed the peace of the morning) to explore the areas coffee shops.
Our hostess, Jeanine, was always only a phone call away were we ever to have a need.
The neighborhood was quiet and comfortable, allowing us to concentrate fully on our family time together.
My family and I will not soon forget the wonderful time spent at the Callalily Inn and we hope to one day return.

My extended stay

I stayed here for a couple months, and to tell ya it was a rocky start for me never being a renter and never living anywhere than Alaska. Alot of rules I didnt understand, even got a parking ticket.LOL. But after I got a bit settled and learned the rules things sarted looking a hole lot better. In fact I truly miss being there. I wish I could have stayed forever. The house is very cozy and quite clean and nice. I had everything I needed and then some. The neighbors were very welcoming (except for my parking experience). The owners, Pete and Jeanine live right behind there, so they are right there if you need something. Pete went the extra mile to make me feel welcome and I was truly greatful. I didn't feel so much as a stranger in a strange place, nor at any time did I feel scared to be there alone. Pete always made sure I was comfortable. I truly do miss the both of them and the warm welcome feeling I had while I was there. I was lucky to have found such a nice place with such nice ownrs. The frozen family from Ak

Conveniently located

Our family stayed in this home from Aug 1 to Aug 13. The home was clean enough and had a beautiful outdoor grilling centre for those of you who enjoy cooking at home. It was centrally located between San Diego (about 40 mins.) and Anaheim(about 55 mins), which suited our needs perfectly. We had a wonderful 2 weeks there. The owners of this house were very nice. We did have a washer/dryer but it wasn't top notch and while we were able to do laundry, it was mostly beach towels and small items. The kitchen stock we found was also lacking. There didn't seem to be enough items for those of us who actually cook a decent meal at home and we ended up purchasing some things and leaving them there, however when we asked the owner, she did supply us with more things. The bathroom and main bedroom were very nice and well stocked. The sheets were soft and fresh. The second bedroom however only had a built in day bed, and there was a fold out cot, not an actual bed. Once you put out the cot, there wasn't much room left to walk, but it's good enough for a child to sleep on. There were 3 tv's in case you get bored. (not likely to happen).
Overall we would definately recommend this home to friends. We have great memories of our stay there.

Delightful home

We had a very relaxing stay at the Callalily Inn. It is comfortable and was perfectly suited to our family of four. We grilled our meals in the outdoor kitchen while the calming water fountain trickled. There were plenty of restaurants close by when we wanted to eat out. Cafe 101 is just a few blocks away. It was also great being able to wash beach wear & towels right there so the laundry didn't accumulate. We thoroughly enjoyed our bike rides and daily walks along the beach about 5 blocks away. The owner is very kind and accomodating. I'd go back tomorrow, if I could!
