Our villa offers the comforts & amenities you would expect to find in a premier vacation home: high speed Internet; a 40' SONY HDTV with DVD player; a BOSE Wave radio system; a one touch tile gas fireplace & a fully equipped kitchen. The master suite has a private bath, 27' TV, its own balcony & walk-in closet. The second & third bedrooms have their own TVs (1 DVD/VHS player) with two twin beds in each. Our enclosed porch & deck overlook the third tee & pond at Black Bear, a 27 hole championship golf course, and opens into a grassy common area. There is a dining table in the enclosed porch, and a gas grill & seating on the the deck. The Tanger outlets, 130 brand name & designer stores, offer tax-free shopping just 15 minutes away in Rehoboth Beach. Ten miles south of Bear Trap is Ocean City, with its night life & entertainment.

Notes: The community of Bear Trap Village offers 2 outdoor pools, kiddie pool, indoor pool, exercise facility, sauna, hot tub, har-tru tennis courts and basketball courts as well as a tot-lot with swings and other equipment. The 27 hole golf course offers a Pro shop, driving range and practice areas. The golf club is open to the public and serves breakfast lunch and dinner with both casual and beach formal dining. There is also a snack bar at the Pavilion for those who want to grab a sandwich or burger and heal back to the pool. Free shuttle buses all day long in season to Bethany Beach and the boardwalk.

Wish we could stay longer

Great place, right on the golf course. My family and I really enjoyed all aspects of this condo. It is an end unit that is nicely furnished with nice new amenities. The gas-grill and screened porch made for great evening meals outside.

Bear Trap Dunes is a great community with a fitness center, tennis courts, swimming pools etc. Didn't bring the clubs but the golf looked good. We also had dinner one night at the Bistro in the Club House, very nice and, though busy, accessible on a Friday night when every other restaurant in town had long waits with vacationers staying elsewhere.

There is a shuttle from Bear Trap into Bethany but we chose to drive to the ocean each day, 5-10 min. You'll have to pay $1.50/hr for parking but the ability to come and go as we pleased was worth it. If Atlantic Ave. is backed up with "beach traffic", try the back route out of the community and go accross the cannal bridge near Sea Collony. You'll avoid all the traffic and signal lights.

From the moment we walked inside the rental property, we felt 'at home'. The location, amenities, and condition of the property were perfect. The entire family enjoyed a very relaxing vacation. We would definitely recommend this rental.

Fantastic vacation

We rented this property in July 2008 and we were not disappointed. It is located ont he wonderful Bear Trap Dunes which is about 5-10mins drive from the beach. There is a shuttle bus that operates from Bear trap which removes the problem of parking in peak time. There are 2 fantastic pools at the complex each with its own toddler pool, which our daughter loved.
The apartment is pretty big which good sized bedrooms. the kitchen is supurbly equiped with everthing you could think of, apart from a tea pot ( we are English!)! The deck overlooks the golf course which was very tranquil and peaceful in the evening. We often sat on the deck and watched the sunset. Overall we loved our time here and would definately recommend it.
