Large home accommodates 4 families with ease (capacity 22). Keep the cost of a your vacation affordable by joining with friends and family. Plenty of private spaces to spread out as well as multiple gathering areas for large groups both indoors and out. Eleven bedrooms remodeled in 2005 from the studs out. Two fully equipped kitchens, a great room (30 x 30) with two large dining tables, two living rooms, DSL, premium cable, large flat screen TV make property unique. 1.6 acre property has a side yard (125 x 60) capable of handling kids’ activities and a large parking lot. The rear of the home boasts a covered porch perfect for grilling and adjacent to both kitchens. The front porch opens to a large sun deck (12 x 36) with a view of the harbor. Steps from the deck is an in-ground gunite pool (remodeled 2007), as well as a pool house with sun awning, dry bar, stereo and fridge. Beyond the pool lies a path between two small hills leading to a pond.

Beaches can be reached at Hen’s Cove via 5 minute drive, Bassets Island by small boat or kayak, Lawrence Island Beach and nature reserve by 15 minute walk, or Old Silver Beach via a 15 minute drive. Extensive walking trails start 300 yards away. A steady Southeast breeze keeps this property comfortable all summer long.

There is a porch with awnings running across the entire front of the home facing West and into the prevailing Southwest breezes. On the front porch is a hammock and seating for about 10-12 plus additional seating on the wide porch rail is available.

Wonderfful house, wonderful location!

House and grounds were wonderful, meeting every expectation. With nine adults and nine children, the house provided simple but very attractive accommodations, with rooms to spare. The pool was very attractive, and the grounds were sufficient for croquet, soccer, and badminton. The neighborhood is full of lovely trees and houses, and the road is very quiet. Nearly every day, some or most of us bicycled on nearby roads, frequently overlooking water. And most of the family took the ferry to Edgartown from Falmouth, only 10 miles away, a wonderful day trip. In short, a perfect place for a family vacation!
