Peaceful Yet Fun Get Away!

This cabin is great for those looking for an adventure in the NC mountains. Whatever type of fun you are looking for can be found here.
It is as perfect for that quiet romantic getaway where you can sit on the porch, drink wine, relax, and re-connect while looking at the stars as it is for a wild time with the kids.
We brought our three young children (ages 6, 9, and 10) and enjoyed fun times in the river (not too deep as to be a concern for safety) and the surrounding area. There are fish to be caught in the river, great woods to hike in, and wildlife everywhere. We took some road trips to the surrounding areas to include Grandfather Mountain, the town of Galax (VA), Mt. Airy, NC (the original Mayberry), and to Little Switzerland for some genuine gem mining.
We also fished for trout and catfish in local ponds near Sparta, NC (the closest "big" town).
Great memories were made in these very comfortable accommodations. The cottage is decorated wonderfully, is well-equipped, and nothing beats falling asleep to the sounds of the rushing creek. We brought our dog along and it was great that he was welcome.
We have traveled to many places as a family and this is one area that we definitely want to return to.
