This lovely home in an un-gated community, fifteen minutes from downtown Sedona, has beautiful hardwood floors, area carpets, private swimming pool, stone fireplace, built-in barbecue, and majestic views from inside and out. Very private on two+ acres, capturing the open serenity of the red rock mountains and plains. Three golf courses and world-class hotels, restaurants, spas, and shopping are ten minutes walk, five minutes drive.
The home has a fully equipped kitchen, wireless high speed internet, cable TVs, VCRs, DVDs, CDs, telephone, washer and dryer, heating and cooling system, everything you need for a comfortable stay. With nearby Grand Canyon, golf, hiking, rock climbing, shopping, restaurants, sightseeing, recreational activities, stargazing, sunsets, and tropical weather, you'll never want to leave.
My favorite: golf: There are three beautiful golf courses within five minutes drive, and each course accomodates a wide range of skills by t-box location and distance. I love sports and outdoors, and there are so many outdoor activities it spins my mind. Georgious hikes and landscapes over easy or difficult terrains, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking. Skiing available in nearby Flagstaff. Great health spas.
My second favorite: eating and shopping: I travel world-wide on a regular basis, and some of the best spas, restaurants, and shopping are in the Sedona area. World class shops offer unique items, indigenous and imported, that you will not find anywhere else in the world, covering a wide range from afforadble to expensive, quality all the way through. Also included are health and relaxation spas and pools where you can eat and relax, thinking you have arrived in heaven, or at least nearby.
My third favorite: being versus doing: I am here to relax, and there is so much space, beauty, forests, spas, hikes, adventures, art, books, antiques, galleries, plays, cinemas, music concerts, lectures, culture, spiritualtiy, religous retreats, health retreats, that I can just let go in everything that I do, just let life challenges drift off of me, and let healing come to me and my family and relatives who accompany me. So come and renew!!!
We have been coming to the Sedona area for 9 years now and have stayed at hotels, time share condos, houses in gated communities, and subdivision houses and this home and it's location has been by far the best place we have stayed. The views are amazing, the house beautiful and comfortable with everything you need and the owner Myrtle has been wonderful to deal with. The living/dining room areas are open and huge and the views are amazing from the living room and kitchen. Sitting on the front patio looking out at this amazing view is so calming. It has been so lovely here we have already booked for next year! The house is set back on 2 acres with a private pool in a fenced in section. This area is perfect for quiet solitude yet is close enough to the Sedona action like shopping, restaurants, jeep tours, and great hiking trails. The best of all worlds! We highly recommend this home. Book with confidence.
This house is absolutely wonderful. Myrtle is a thoughtful hostess who provides tons of tips and information about the area. The open floor plan was great for our family with three kids -- who all absolutely loved the pool. I highly recommend that you consider this property -- it is so much better than a hotel or condo and very reasonably priced. We loved our time in Sedona and wish that we could have stayed longer!
We enjoy house and the pool during our 1 week stay. The house is equipped with every thing you need for comfortable living. Thank you Myrtle very much.
We spent 3 nights with our 3 children - 8, 12 and 15. In about 5 minutes we were home, the house has everything or more than you need on vacation, great kitchen, good wi-fi, TVs, DVD player, simple but quality furniture, indoor and outdoor fireplace, pool, overall a very warm home with a southwestern style meets Dwell, simple elegant, ergonomic and cozy.
The owner has been very kind and generous, she provided all the information we needed.
The neighbors are far away, quiet upscale houses with huge lots. Also, it feels very safe and a privileged neighborhood.
This is not the place to talk about Sedona, but in that context: the house is the perfect place to view and get to know Sedona from, it practically looks at the main gate of the Sedona peaks.
We loved the house and Pool. Spent many an evening watching the stars we cannot see in the UK and would not go to bed until we had seen a shooting star & satellite. The location was wonderful, within easy reach of so many beautiful sights. The only downfall for us were the "no see ums" that bit us unmercifully. The house itself was spotless, homely and believe me, we wish we were back there now!
We spent a week at this lovely house in May/June 2010. We absolutely loved it! It's in The Village of Oak Creek, at the southern edge of Sedona. It's out of the main touristy areas and is very quiet, while still being just a few minutes away from everything in Sedona. We sat on the porch every morning drinking coffee and watching the sun rise over the red rocks. The house is incredibly well equipped and has everything you'd expect, and much that you wouldn't expect. The kitchen is very well-stocked, as are the linens, towels, bathroom necessities, everything! There are some very thoughtful touches, such as a gift card to a local restaurant and the picnic basket with holders for two wine bottles! The main sitting area has a newer TV than the one shown in the picture, and it was nice to just be able to stick in the memory card from the camera and camcorder and look at the many scenic shots we took.
When we got to the house, we found lots of brochures for things to do in the area, many of which we weren't aware of and added to our agenda. My wife and I rent houses from homeaway four or five times a year, mostly in the Texas Hill Country. This one is at the top of our list now, and when we go back to Sedona we'll definitely rent here again.
