Not Clean
My husband and I stayed here with our 21 month old daughter and our chocolate lab mix. We were very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of this condo. The doors and cabinets were all dirty and grimy looking. The cabinets in the master bathroom are falling apart. When I opened the drawers to put things away one was full of a previous guest's hair and another filled with various pills and vitamins. The bathtub in the guest bath was so dirty I had to scrub it before I could bathe my daughter in there. The floor was so dirty that our feet would be black after walking around for a while. We had to buy Swiffer cloths and clean the floor. It finally looked and felt cleaner after I had Swiffered it 5 times. We also had to go out and buy towels and wash cloths because the ones provided were stained and dirty looking. One of the rules when you bring a pet (which we were very happy to be able to do) is that you have to clean up the pet hair on the floor. I did not have a problem doing this, but the two brooms provided are quite worn out, and the vacuum did not have very good suction and when it was turned on it smelled like stinky dogs. When we informed Laura about the lack of cleanliness she said the cleaning crew would come out to clean. We left for over an hour at the time she said they would be there, but they never came. I told her not to bother at that point because we had pretty much cleaned what needed to be cleaned in order for us to be comfortable.
Also, by no fault of the owner, we could hear a lot of noise from the people above us. We could hear their footsteps and everytime they moved a chair or any other piece of furniture (which was often). I did not consider this when renting thinking a condo would be more soundproof than a hotel room, but it certainly was not. Your view from the balcony is beautiful, but it is blocked to the leftt by a palm tree and to the right by an ugly grey building across the street.
Laura did assist us when we made a complaint about the dogs in the condo next door. They were barking incessantly and when we asked the owners to quiet them they just laughed. Laura called the owner of that condo who spoke with the people. Generally though I would say that from booking the condo to checkout both Laura and Renee were very business-like but not friendly. There was never a "hope you enjoy your stay," an apology for our issues, or a "hope you'll be our guest again in the future. We won't rent from them again.

Owner's Response: I know your stay did not go as planned. I am so sorry about that. I did end up going another direction with a new cleaning crew. I was mortified one that when I asked the company that had been paid to clean to come back out they said they would and did not go.
Sometimes even a refund at that point is not enough to rectify the damage done.
I do sincerely thank you for making me aware of the issues so we could rectify them.
While I always do try to make sure our guest have a wonderful personal experience with us I must not have conveyed that to you, for that I am so sorry. While you may not choose to stay with us again we do sincerely hope your next vacation experience is a happy one.
